The electromagnet that causes the bell clapper to move when the circuit is closed by pushing the button is failing. Replace the bell unit.

Doubtful they are compatible. If they are set by dip switches and you set them the same bot doesn't work-not compatible.

Don't pull the power plug out. That beep is to alert you the system has no power.
