SOURCE: will my wireless bell push work with another manufacturers door chimes?

Doubtful they are compatible. If they are set by dip switches and you set them the same bot doesn't work-not compatible.

SOURCE: My Byron by103 wireless door bell makes a beeping noise when the power plug is put in the wall socket

Don't pull the power plug out. That beep is to alert you the system has no power.

Byron door bell not working

and that surprises you

battery push button at door

has to have a straight line within 50 mtrs
meaning no walls furniture or insulation material to bounce off or anything that will weaken the beam

Plug in byron sx83 stops working, when you take it out the socket then replace it works for a short whill then stops again

Hello,

I have a different problem with the same model.

Firstly, I think the reason yours stops working is because when you first plug-in / switch-on the power, for the first 10-seconds, the bell is in 'programme' mode. Press the button to connect with the bell and it is then programmed. Sorted. However, if you unplug, have a power-cut, etc. then the button is no longer connected to the bell and needs to be programmed again.

FYI - when in programme mode almost any remote (which is what the button is) can be programmed to ring the bell (e.g. television remote)... so ensure you don't press any other buttons within the 10-seconds 'programme' mode!

My problem is, even after I programme my button to connect, it stops working after a short while. Please let me know if this is happening with yours and if you ahve any solutions.

Thanks,

Jason

Hi, when using the gain control on my amp I get a buzz and an 'osilating' sound. I've tried several guitars and leads but still the same problem, any suggestions?

Hi.

If the amp is working, then most of the time the buzz is given by a bad grounding. Test the amp using different wall sockets, and possibly test it in a different home (there may be an earthing problem with the home network). If the problem goes away, then it was the wall socket or the home power network. If the buzzing is still there the problem is with the amp. Check the earth connection at power cord and psu and test the amplifier's PSU components. Check also the audio connections inside the amp (the back of the female jack input sockets). A small contact in there will result in a loud buzz.

The door open bell is constantly ringing - shen no door is open - causing a drain on the battery

You need to determine which side is causing the problem and test that door switch ( usually on the door jamb, either hinge or latch side deoe4nding on model) Find the door stitch and push in on the switch fully by hand. Does the bell stop? if not, then your door switch is likely faulty and you'll need to replace it - a quick fix would be to dismount switch from vehicle and unplug. At this point, if the switch is bad the bell should stop. Make sure to tape the plug ends so they cannot short out against the body. I would also recommend tying a small string to the end before you cover the connection and securing the other end to the hinge ( tie it on or tape it) so you can retrieve the wires to reconnect the new door switch.
Hope this helps!!
