Question about HP Officejet 6600 e-All-in-One - multifunction fax / copier / printer / scanner color
I have shut off printer and looked for a jam and found none.
Look for a "flag" type sensor, it is an arm that the document pushes against and in turn moves a flag that normally interrupts an infrared sensor telling it that there is not a document in it, More than likely the flag is out of place and it is reading a doc that isn't there, I had a similar situation with the cd player in my brand new 06 jeep, before I had a chance to take it in to a dealer my wife bounced it against a post in a parking lot and knocked the sensor in place.
(so let my wife take it four wheeling)
