Richard, what makes you think that your machine needs to be retimed? What is it doing/not doing that makes you think that? When you put a spool in your bobbin, are you able to get the thread up to the top, so that you can begin sewing?

Hi it's probably not threaded correctly or needs oiling. If you can find out where the oil goes then tell me as my machine is experiencing the same problem and it's fresh out of the box!

My first question on this is WHY you think your machine needs to be retimed? What is it doing/not doing that makes you think so?

Need to replace the gear in my singer sewing machine model 288

I can't get you the full instructions but I can offer some ideas which may help you. When you get into the machine (if the timing is still good) use a white or yellow grease pencil and make a mark across both gears as a reference point... then take a picture. When you start messing with gears it's really easy to get the machine horribly out of time. The reference point and picture will help you keep from getting it so far out of time.

I don't know if this will help you but here is a manual for your machine. I couldn't find an adjuster's manual.

I need to know what bobbin case to use with the Singer 3270C sewing machine?

I don't know the part number, but I do know where you can buy one. Go to http://thesewingcenter.com/parts-c-626_715_963_1206.html. The price is 12.95. The part number on the page may well be the retailer's own part number and not that of Singer's, though.

I Have a Singer/Futura. While I start to sew the it flashes E1. Don't know what it means. I don't have a booklet.

Go to www.Futura-support.com. You can download a manual there and then you'll have a better chance Since I don't know which Futura model you have, it's hard for me to tell you what the E1 message. means. Find your model on the website and download the appropriate manual. That should give you the answer you need.

Good luck!
