Follow this procedure to troubleshoot if the power will not turn on.
Ensure you are using fresh or fully charged batteries. Check if the battery using is NPBG1 (supplied)
IMPORTANT: Batteries discharge more quickly when used in cold weather conditions.
Attempt to turn on the camera.
If the issue is not resolved, try replacing or recharging the batteries if available.
Attempt to turn on the camera in Playback/Edit mode by moving the mode switch to the Playback/Edit mode or by pressing the playback button.
Switch the unit to camera mode and attempt to turn on the camera.
If the issue is not resolved, try connecting the AC power adapter to the camera and a working electrical outlet.
(Skip this step if the camera being used does not support the use of an A/C adaptor.)
Attempt to turn on the camera.
