Both, :) you should have glass fuses and when you buy them they will say 12 v 20 amps, But thats about the same as a 110 v at 2 amps maybe a little less, Look for what you have by reading the side of the fuse for the right amps.

When I unplug the power from the trailer, I lose all power. I have brand new batteries. someone told me it may be an inverter. Where would I find this or check it?

You have new charged batteries? Then my guess you have a 12V cut off switch somewhere like I have in my camper, or a fuse blown in your panel. If you are getting 12V accessories working when you are plugged in, it is not the inverter.

Need starting ampere load and running amperes

The inverter would have to be motor rated as the starting torque is much higher than the running watts required. Starting at 240v is around 5 amps, running about 2a at most.

My camper fridge , Engel SRBT-565D Does not run on 12V ?

The compressor is on the way out and exceeds the current capacity of the 12v inverter circuit. The compressor runs on 32V AC @50 Hz and the inverter circuit is not able to produce sufficient current when the compressor becomes worn. It still runs on 240V circuit as this is a straight step down transformer from 240 volts and is not current limited..

Can i connect my tele in mt caravan on 12v

Yes. Either by using a 12v dc tv, or if it uses 120v/240v ac by using an inverter on the 12v dc supply which ups the voltage and converts to ac.

Hi my engle works fine on 240 v but not on 12v .....thnx

Got a few thing you can try

1. Check the fuse in the 12v cigarette lighter adaptor, it unscrews at the base, it needs a 10A glass fuse
2. ALWAYS switch the thermostat to off before going from 240v to 12v
3. Some of these have 2 different sockets on the back, check you are using the correct one

Failing this its probably a problem with the inverter inside the unit

Hope this helps

Q7 12V socket Inverter Wattage Question

no you need to know the wattage of the item you are trying to power. To find the wattage of the item you are trying to power is simple. Some will say directly others will give you the amps (ie. .5amps, 1.2 amps.) you take the amps and multiply it by the volts that it says. All this info is on the item you are trying to power with the inverter. The answer is what it will take to power that item. example .5amps x 240v = 120 w so in this instance you would need an inverter that would produce at least 120w so in this case the 150w inverter would work. Good Luck, have a grt day
