Go to Page 3 of your OWNERS MANUAL...

In all cases (including your BASE UNIT),
the wireless handset is listed as KX-TGLA40.

Because I am a (twice) retired phone-man...
I still insist on HARD WIRED base telephone
(be somewhere in your house)...

Bad things happen... and falling BACK to a
cell-phone is a VERY poor EMERGENCY plan...!!

Cell phone infra-structure is MORE FRAGILE
than your BASIC TELEPHONE SERVICE...

I'm just saying...!!

Usually when GSM phones go into emergency calls only mode its one of two things. The SIM card can no longer be read or has become damaged or the network as deactivated the ESID preventing it from registering. Its also possible that its "roamed" onto an ajacent network which doesn't support your device or has no roaming agreement with your home carrier. You can reboot and clear this condition (typically)

You can go to http://www.numberingplans.com/?page=analysis&sub=imeinr and input your IMEI number to see if you've been blocked. If thats the case you need to be talking to o2 about getting it reinstated.

To program one of the three emergency buttons:
1) lift the handset and wait for dialtone
2) press the STORE button
3) dial the phone number
4) press the STORE button
5) press one of the three emergency buttons
6) replace the handset in the cradle
To use; lift handset and press an emergency button, the phone dials the number stored for that button

To program one of the ten memory locations:
1) lift the handset and wait for dialtone
2) press the STORE button
3) dial the phone number
4) press the STORE button
5) dial a one digit number(0-9) to store the number in that location
6) replace the handset in the cradle
To use: lift the handset, press the MEMORY button, dial the memory location digit(0-9), the phone dials the number stored in that memory location

You will need the page codes if you use the feature to page select groups. One softkey will have PGE written above it when the phone is in a mode that can page. This is the Page key (the second softkey on most of the phones in the group).

To make a page announcement to phones or external speakers: Lift the handset, press the extension and then enter a paging access code.

To make a group page, Press Group Page and then the group code or press extension + #31 and the zone number .

To make an All Call Page

1. With the handset off-hook, press All Call Page
...or dial #30. This pages all telephones in the All Call Page Group but, depending
on system programming, you may or may not page external speakers.
2. Make your announcement then hang up.

To make an Emergency Page

1. To make an Emergency Page, lift the handset off-hook, dial #37.
2. To make an Emergency Page to a group, lift the handset off-hook, dial #38 and
enter the Group number.

i tried to put some themes on my phone and it appears on the screen since last night a yellow page saying refreshing.i tried taking the batter out,pressing all the buttons,nutting works.please help.i have a lg viewty
