Well the spinning mode engages the transmission, the clutch and if direct drive the motor coupler, may be u have a clutch going out or slipping and thus the sound but what kind of sound is it? oh if its belt drive they can make weird noises too.

Sounds like your timer is not working correctly. I would suggest replacing it, as there isn't a way to repurchase timers.

I started my washer and I worked just fine then it went into an extra rinse cycle and now it won't drain or spin the door switch works I can hear it click and then a low humming sound

Turn power off, then set the machine to a spin cycle, you may need to do this several times before the door will open. Hope this helps

My maytag performa pav 2300 is making a loud noise while its spinning. Sounds like metal on metal. Its working fine. Its just that noise. We just got a new motor yesterday. What could be the problem ?...

Hello
On this model washer the noise is most likely caused by a worn washer tub seal assembly. remove agitator (nut on the top under cap), spin basket and tub assembly. remove seal and install new one.

My washer stops at a certain minute and won't proceed (i.e., it stops at 11 minutes for the low extract spin only cycle). Very frustrated! It worked fine for the service guy yesterday!

it may be in its pause cycle the washer pauses for about 2 minutes during certain cylce allow the cycle to continue some cycles go between agitation and soak

Frigidaire gallery front load won't spin

Does the washer spin after the wash cycle? It sounds like the door switch. This is a common problem with frigidaires. 90% of the time a door switch fixes it.

Can you move the basket by hand...if so you need a basket drive. If not you have a bad clutch or gear case

Whirlpool top load washer gets stuck on spin and stops

your lid switch is most likely bad.you can che.ck this by taking two screws from face of machine and flip face back.you will see a disconnect plug on machine that goes to your lid switch.unplug machine and unplug disconnect at top of washer under the face, you will need a jumper wire to put in 1st and 3rd hole in your disconnected.plug machine back in and see if it will go into spin.you can also put your finger on lid switch and push in on it and if you dont hear it clicking or if you dont see the finger to push in then it is definately lid switch.

Wash cycle operates on low loads only

This sounds like a classic capacator fault.
