Most new models have plates that can be removed so that you can vent to any side except the front. The bottom is considered a side. You need to get to the inside of the unit and then move the exhaust hose to the area that you want it to vent to. IT would be helpful if you post the make and model.

Hoover Dryer Model D6792A. Trying to find a user manual or find out how to use the rear vent once its panel is removed

If I remember correctly, there is a venting kit that you purchase which consists of a fitting to go on the back of the dryer and a large diameter hose which you put out the window or door to vent the hot air from the dryer. There used to be another kit which allowed you to connect to a wall outlet which vents directly outside.

Moved dryer to a new home. Dryer vent comes out of the middle of the dryer. New home vent is next to the outside wall so i have a bend off the dryer vent and then a bent to the out side vent, Can you...

Some Kenmore dryers have a knockout at the back, lower corner that can be "knocked out". If you have one of these it can be vented out through the side. If the knockout is there, a kit is available for the venting. Just go to www.sears.com and under the parts direct tab enter your model number aka 000.00000, and search out the kit.

inspect the dryer sides, and see if there is a knockout to remov to allow side venting, some dryers are not side ventable,if the knockouts are there, you may need a kit from maytag specifically for that model...the installation instructions may be helpful if you have them, could provide kit no.,and the how to instruct.

Does maytag make an electric dryer with bottom vent?

you want to vent of of the base of the dryer, directly down? None of the maytag/whirlpool line can handle this anymore. Only side vent options. GE may still be able to bottom vent. no dryer is really made for it out of the factory but some can be converted to it with a kit. usually if they can there will be a knock out panel for the duct in that place. GEs heater is on back wall making more room on the base for this kind of thing.

Dryer vent from the back to the side

There is a kit that you will need and it comes with instructions. You need the model of the dryer and you can find it at

http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/index.action?intcmp=xsite_Sears

Enter the model number of your dryer and look for it in the diagram. You should be able to go where you bought it also. Good luck.

From underneath the machine you can install a side venting kit. It can be vented to either side on electric models. Part number is 3911EZ913X. You can order parts by calling LG at 888-393-6484. Hope this helps.
