Question about Panasonic Kx-tvs100 Voice Processing System

Open Question

My office has a Panasonic KX-TVS100 voice processing system and the power light on the unit is blinking 4x instead of solid red. I cannot find the issue in any manual.

I cannot find the error code for the power light on the unit (with the HD in the server room) for the power light blinking 4x. It has worked for years with no real issues until yesterday. I'm thinking it has to do with the hard drive has it makes a few noises and doesn't seem to be "spinning" I don't want to replace the hard drive if I do not have to, re-programming would be a nightmare! Please help.

SOURCE: Panasonic DMR-EX77 - Error code DVD3

Pan use a version of Linux on the recorder. If you change the hard drive there is a format command in setup to format a new hard drive. Put a DVD in and try selecting and playing both DVD and HHD via the front panel buttons. Sometimes you can get error codes on a unit when the batteries in the remote are low. Try changing them Sometimes the remotes are faulty and not communicating properly. A fix in some cases is to press the number button corresponding to the number shown on the display together with the enter or OK button for at least 2 seconds. Good luck

SOURCE: programming extensions in the phone

If you have manual(z), they should. One, the OM (operating manual) will tell you how to set up your personal programming.

The buttons on the left side of a 7730 have lights, the buttons on the right do not, so they are programmed differently. Left side is DSS, right side is PF (personal feature). If you have spare left side buttons, press PROGRAM the button and dial 1 plus the ext number and STORE. The light will now follow the activity of the extension you programmed.

The buttons on the right have no lights, so you can only put in extension speed dial numbers. For that, press PROGRAM, the button, and dial the 3 digit extension number and STORE.

Depending on the system your phone is connected with, you can just press the button to dial, or you have to pick up the handset or SP-PHONE and select intercom (if not selected) and it will dial that extension, or if the system is a TAW, TD or higher, just press the button.

Changing Panasonic KX- T7630 Business Phone Answering Message

You don't "lose" the manual, it comes on a CD. The Panasonic system probably has a TVA voice mail system and it requires you to change the Auto Attendant greeting from the message manager's mailbox. If you don't have the passwords for mailbox 998 and 999, you need to contact someone who has them and a layout of the system.

Your Panasonic technician can guide you through the process.

OUR ENTIRE PHONE SYSTEM IS DOWN

If you're in the U.S. try www.kxt411.com and search for a Panasonic TD dealer.

If you really need help, get the model number from the cabinet and comment back here. You could start by making sure that the plug is directly connected to an AC outlet and disconnect all the cables from the side...an 816 has modular, the 1232 has Amphenol cables.

The red power light will blink before it goes solid on a properly initialized system.

Message light won't come on

The voice mail turns the message waiting light on and off. The voice mail is a separate part from your phone system. Usually this is a standard setting at default for each extension but most voice mails will allow you to turn it off. Any way you look at it, this would be a system programming issue. You will need to either pay a company to make the change or you need to know which Panasonic system (and voice mail) you have and obtain system "programming" manuals. (not user guides)
