Unfortunately, documentation is not available for the Pfaff Synchromatic 1200. Pfaff does have the manuals for the Syncrhromatic 1209 and 1215. The threading pattern probably didn't change much between the 1200 and these other machines. Look at page 7 of the Synchromatic 1209 here, http://www.pfaff.com/SiteMedia/PFAFF/Products/Machines/Support-manuals/Synchromatic_1209-manual-EN.PDF , to see if this helps. Unlike most sewing machines, the 1209 doesn't thread the upper thread from right to left. Instead, you bring the thread from the spool to a slot on the top left. Then work down to the guide, up to the take up lever, and down through the next guide as you move the thread to the right to the needle.
You should be able to fix this. IF it is the top thread on your fabric that is screwy you need to adjust the bobbin tension. If it is the bottom thread you have a problem with your upper tension. Blow out the upper tension assembly using canned air, the tension discs may be dirty
