Replace high pressure power steering hose

Very easy job.Replacement part from auto parts store ran me $13.99, and had the o-rings with it. You will need an 18mm open end wrench and I found that the 5/8's actually worked better on the other end. First use a turkey baster to remove the fluid from the reservoir to help with excess leakage. Place a drip pan under the power steering unit. Remove the bottom line fitting first which will help with drainage without extra splashing. Remove top fitting after the unit has drained. Put o-rings on the ends of the new hose after moistening with new power steering fluid.Replace hose with the new one tightening to 35-50 # pressure ( Hand tight should be fine.) Fill unit with NEW power steering fluid and start engine. Turn wheel completely from side to side a few times to allow fluid to replace air in the line.Check for leaks at connection. Turn vehicle off and wait about 15 minute and repeat wheel turning process again with engine running to remove excess air. If you find no leaks then you should be just fine. I completed in about 20 minutes and I am just a shade tree mechanic. Good luck.

Connecting extra handsets to main base

Call your phone, while it is ringing put your extra handsets on the main base. I did this and they started to ring when on the base and they worked after that. You may not need to call the main line, only put the extra handsets on the main base to get them connected but I didn't try this so I don't know.

I can't get the two pieces of the pump to fit snuggly enough to get the clamp to fit

The problem is the o-rings. The diffuser o-ring has to fit tight into the volute to go back together correctly. This is a common o-ring and can be found at any on-line supplier. You will need the model number of your pump and they should be able to help you. (you may also e-mail me your model and i can give you the part number:

As long as you have it open, replace the housing o-ring as well, this will ensure a good seal on the v-clamp once you get it back together. It is a good idea to have these extra two o-rings along with the shaft seal anytime you open the wet end of the pump, just in-case there is bad wear on the current seals.

Ge garbage disposal installation

if the mounting ring is too high there should be an adapter ring that cam with your unit. if it did not you will have to go to a plumbing store to buy . you just need to have model of the unit and the drain diamter and you can measure the difference between unit and drain. you will also have to get a couple of extra rubber gaskets as well. this should help you.....please rate thanks

No caller id

Is caller ID enabled on your line, usually this is an extra provided by the phone company, software won't function without it usually.

Caller ID doesn't display and phone rings 1 time then stops

The Uniden TRU9XXX series has a high level of handset compatibility between bases. Depending on the handsets you bought to go with your 9480, you may be able to buy another model in the series and use the old handsets with the new model. Alternatively, you could buy another 9480 here (the -2 on the end of your model number just means that it came with an extra handset).

Before you do that, though, it might pay to hook up a regular (corded) caller ID-enabled phone to the line and see what happens there when you call. If it works properly, go buy your new phone. However, if you see the same behavior there as with the Uniden, chances are that the problem is not with the phones. Possible other causes could include a fax machine, modem, or other device in-line with the phone; a defective piece of equipment hooked up elsewhere in your house; etc. If nothing obvious applies, you might want to give the phone company another call--just because they couldn't find a problem on their end doesn't mean one doesn't exist.
