Question about Ovens
Evidently, we cleaned the face of the oven door and cleaner runs down in between the door and the little metal strip at bottom of door where it has now rusted.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

I just took my oven door off and took it apart to clean the glass inside. I don't have a maytag but they probably all work alike. Just open the door like you are going to broil something and just lift it up. It should slide right off. Shouldn't have to unscrew anything. Hope this helps. Arlene

SOURCE: Oven Door Locked
the oven door does lock during self clean, otherwise it will not work. however, the door is supposed to unlock after the oven has cooled. if it is still locked, turn the oven to self clean and wait about a minute and then hit cancel and see if the door unlocks. if not, there may be a probelm with the door lock mechanism. Cycling the power off and then on again will sometimes reset it...often you will have to call the customer service number to get the steps to take to unlock that...

Hello, Thank You for using FixYa. I will be helping you today.I would recommend paying for a service call to have a tech take the door apart for you. There are four pieces of glass in the door and lots of screws. It really is a pain to take doors apart we as techs get this call all the time. Believe me you will thank me you paid someone to do it. If it were easy i would tell you. Most people take them apart then end up paying because they cant put it back together.
Thank You and please rate my answer if it was helpful..
