If I understand you correctly ~ you are a pensioner on disability and want to know how much you can travel abroad ? As much as you like providing you still reside in this country (not emigrating) different rules for that. I know hundreds of pensioners in Spain who spend 6 months there and still collect pensions... If you are really concerned you can ask for the 'pension rights' leaflets online or by post. You don't have to give your details...it's just the generic rule book. hope this helps.... enjoy your travels.... Red.

If I got well enough to work 2 days a week and received $700 per week, would my disability support pension be discontinued?

In a fair society your disability pension would be reduced by only the daily rate of the days you are capable of working.

In a fairer society your pension would allow you to earn an amount without affecting it.

Societies unfortunately are not fair and much depends on government policy at the time that affects the sort of budget savings they want to make - how the Civil Servants choose to interpret the rules. You need to ask where you are and be aware things are subject to change...

Is veterans pension the same as being 100% disabled veteran service connected

No. Veterans a pension is based on rank and years of service.
Disability is calculated based on % of disability and would be in addition to any eligible pension. A veteran can receive disability payments and veterans health benefits without receiving a Pension (of course visa-versa).

Is Citizens Disability a legit business to help a person get disability payments started?

Yes it is a legit business
if they are successful in helping you apply for and receive disability payments they get 25% off all payments you receive as long as you receive them say you are awarded $1600 a month they receive $400 of it so you get $1200
they only charge if the application is successful there is no upfront charges so if the application process is unsuccessful after appeals and court appearances there is still no charge
that is why they ask for 25% of future payments if successful

Is it true that Social security checks are going to be renamed to Federal benefit checks

It's true that Social Security retirement payments are classified as "federal benefit payments." The word "benefits" has been applied to Social Security retirement payments since the Social Security program was enacted in the 1930s. The terminology is also not unique to Social Security, as the phrase "federal benefit payments" applies to a broad class of payments made to (or on behalf of) individuals under federal government programs - everything from Social Security Disability Insurance to Medicare to farm subsidies are considered "federal benefit payments." The fact that workers themselves contribute much of the money that goes into the Social Security retirement fund doesn't affect its classification as a benefit. They benefit the person who cashes the check.
