You need to connect the printer to your WiFi or LAN. If the printer has an Ethernet socket then you can use an Ethernet cable to connect it to your network hub. Otherwise if it's got WiFi then go into the printers settings and in the Networking section activate the WiFi. You will need the WiFi key for the WiFi hub. Depending on the printer you may be able to set up the printer from your PC using the USB cable and the Epson software CD. Once the printer is on your network then you can access it via WiFi on a computer.

Cannot get the wireless connection to work on the printer. The USB cable is connected to the back of the PCU. I've installed and uninstalled twice and nothing. It did work when I first got it and...

Here are some guidelines to identify and fix your wireless communication issue:
  • What is the status of the Wi-Fi light on the printer? Green light means that it's connected to a wireless network while Orange light means it's not connected to a network.
  • Try to print the printer's wireless network settings to determine if it's connected to your own wireless network. On the printer operator panel, touch the Setup button > Network Setup > Print Setup Page. Your printer will then print the its wireless network information page. Ensure that the printer is connected to your network by checking the Network Card Status, Wireless SSID, Quality or Trouble Code.
  • If printer is not connected to your network, you may need to reset your printer's wireless network settings. On the printer operator panel, press Setup button > Network Setup > Reset Network Settings. The Wi-Fi light on the printer will momentarily turn off then back on to solid orange. You can then run the Wireless Setup Utility application on your computer to reconfigure the printer to connect to your wireless network. On your computer, launch the Lexmark Printer Home application > go to Settings tab > Wireless Setup Utility. Please follow the instructions on your computer screen.

I can not down load pages or pictures from my laptop to printed. It all locks up and does nothing.

What is the operating system running on your computer? How is the printer connected to your computer, wireless or hardwired with a usb cable? A quick fix for most communication errors can be achieved by resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC. If you're connected wireless, simply unplug and replug your printer into the power source to reset it. Reboot your computer as well. If usb-connected, disconnect your printer from your computer first. Then, unplug/re-plug printer into the power source and reboot pc. Try to print again.

Connected printer to my wireless router, but my pc cant find the printer...Turned off the firewall and even gone into settings and added printer id address, selected port 427 to stay open for...

I am not sure what you are doing, it sounds like you said you connected your printer to your wireless router? Is your printer a wireless printer?, Is it set on wireless setting, and is it connected to the right port? The port should state wireless printer port on your computer. The best way to set up anything wireless or Bluetooth is to use the computer to set it up. Don't plug anything in until you start setting up your item, make sure your printer is turned on and you should find prompts to complete set up. If you have a CD that came with printer you want to install software first or go to manufacturer website and download software for your printer.

Make sure the USB cable is properly connected to your computer. Also the driver should be installed. If your printer connect through wireless, verify the wireless settings on your printer if it matches the router's wireless settings

Cannot Network printers on FIOS system

If both computers are connected to the router. Try turning off the firewall on both computers first. normally its firewalls blocking file and printer sharing that block the connection.

Can I print via my wireless network with HP OfficeJet 6310xi?

Nothing helps. Print servers are capable of connecting a multifunction printer for printing capabilities only. For scanning, you have to connect directly to the Computer or by a Multifunction printer with wireless capabilities.
