Question about Sanyo DP42849 42 in. HDTV
That is odd.
What I'd do is open up the TV and try moving the LDVS cable (the one with many many wires on the main board - no other has as many as it does) to see if that's going to affect the image.
Chances are it would - connectors wear out, get rusty etc. and this is a relatively common issue.
It may also be a bad connection on the other side of the T-CON board (which is where that cable leads to), but that is less likely.
It may also be a bad T-CON board itself.
Alas, no silver bullet for that issue.
