Model ESL 499. Why doesn't it start?

You have activated the delayed start function. Please read following instruction from user manual.

8. Delayed Start button

Allows the start of the programme to be delayed by a minimum of 1 hour, up to 9 hours. How to set the delayed start When the button is pressed, the number appears in the display (4). Press the button again to select the number of hours by which you wish to delay the programme start, up to a maximum of 9. E.g.: if you have selected number , the wash programme will start in 2 hours' time. To cancel the delayed start set, press the button until the number appears. Close the dishwasher door to start the countdown: a long audible signal (about one second) informs you that the function is active. If you open the door again you will see, in the display (4), how long there is to go (in hours) before the programme starts. A flashing dot in the digital display means that the delayed start function has been activated. Opening the door has no effect on a countdown which has already been started. If, during the countdown, you wish to see the programme number selected in the display, press the Programme Selector button (5). If, after having started the countdown by closing the dishwasher door, you wish to cancel the delayed start, press button (9) (Cancel) for about 2 seconds until the short «instruction accepted «signal is heard».

My Samsung Dishwasher keeps flipping cycles during the course of its run. I set it to "normal" and it ends up on "delicate". Dishes seem to be clean, but are still wet after the 2 hour run time. Help...

I'll bet that Delicate light is flashing, which is actually indicating an error. You didn't mention your model number, but in most Samsung dishwashers I'm familiar with, that light indicates a Drain Error. You may have something hard caught in the impeller of your drain pump, or you might have a bad ECS sensor. In any case, it's time to call a dishwasher repair technician. For Samsung dishwashers, I recommend calling Sears Service (1-800-4MY-HOME or 1-800-469-4663).

2 HOUR DELAYED KEEPS FLASHING AND NO OTHER OPTIONS WILL RESPOND

There should be a tech sheet behind the bottom plate of the dishwasher. It will tell you what the flashing light means. It is probably either the control panel or board.
You can press the hightemp & heateddry buttons multiple times to try and reset it but the tech sheet will be your best bet.

Door locked with flashing red light on model W10578789

This might work try unplugging it for about 45 -60 seconds and see if it clears the problem. The red light is some type of warning and I would be safe in saying it is a safety device gone bad. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

It's clear the problem is the display, but you can still try these 1. unplug and replug while the both is on 2. turn on, off couple of times 3. keep the LCD on for about one hour these are anyway temporary fixes :(

I have 2 problems (Please Respond!),1.It takes AGES to turn my xbox on!I turn it on at the main plug, then press the On Button...screen stays black...turn it off,do the same...screen stays black, after about...

From your post, both problems are related, this sounds like a problem with the rf board, this is the board behind your on/off button, its not too difficult to replace, they cost about £5 off ebay, but if you have warranty, take it back and give them both barrels about selling you shoddy goods and get them to fix it.
Remember thumbs up if this helps, if you still have problems, comment me.

Message panel keeps flashing F10 error

Code F-10 indicates a temperature runaway. There are two possible problems. 1) The oven temp sensor has failed. This can be checked using a standard multimeter. The sensor is located behind the rear access panel of your oven. The sensor should read about 1100 ohms at room temperature. 2) The oven control board needs to be replaced. There are no FRU's (field replaceable units) on the control board. Check the sensor first. Even a new control board is cheaper than a new oven.
