I checked, ther is ice in Ben the water sup. works
Hello George;
My name is Peter. I am a retired field service technician.
I live in Baltimore, Maryland, USA.
All ice makers work in the same way.
Your fill cycle is working fine. You have a thermostat in your ice maker which tells your ice maker control module (Computer) that the ice cubes are frozen and ready for harvest. Then, then control module tells the cube tray heater to turn on for so many seconds, followed by the control module to activate the harvesting motor.
So, your ice maker either has a bad thermostat, heater or motor.
The beam across your freezer section is a safety device. On the right hand side is the transmitter. On the left hand side is the receiver with a plastic flapper. When you close the door the flapper closes and completes the signal to discharge ice. When you open the door the flapper pops out blocking the signal.
Testimonial: "Thank you for the info, But I failed to tell you the flipper lite and the receiver lite is not on , there is no beam or flashing lite,model kfil27cxmso , what do you think? Gk"

Your motor module is bad on the ice maker. It is located on the left side when mounted in the refrigerator. It is under the White Cover over the end. It is brown in color. To verify the correct problem, the ice stripper arm in the ice maker that turns and pushes the ice out of the mold, should be pointing up towards you when it is in the mounted in the refrigerator. I call it the 2 O'clock position. If the ice stripper arm is pointing another direction, it is broken. I sell the module on Ebay as username, themackshack. My parts are genuine factory parts. Good luck!, Mack

Depending on the ice maker style, they typically work off a motor timer. The timer motor rotates to set up the ice making process... starting with letting water into an empty ice mold tray, allowing ample time for that water to freeze and then to rotate that mold so that the cubes fall out into the bin. In conjunction with that process, a small heater is turned on to release the frozen cubes from the tray. The 'ice tray full' lever signals the system to stop making ice so you may want to verify that the lever is down and not causing the ice maker to stop, If that's down then I suggest you monitor the position of the motor gearset underneath an access cover. With power applied, the gears should rotate and cycle thru an ice making process. If it does and ice fails to fall out, your heater may be defective. Hope that helps...

Hello,
You have to replace the electrical components on the side of the compressor. The heat from the fan not running by the compressor more than likely has damaged them. These are a safety feature to save the compressor from damage when it overheats.
You can find the factory repair manual here. This will have all the part numbers and what you need to replace to take care of your refrigerator. The Top Freezer Refrigerator one will be about your machine. It covers all the FRT Models.
Thanks

if ice maker is cycleing then it is either water frozen at the tube where water comes in. if it is then shut off refrig. remove icemaker and thaw tube out with a hair dryer. makeing sure not to melt plastic in the back panel of freezer. if it is plastic. if it is not plugged then it is either a bad water valve or the watervalve switch in the icemaker.
Testimonial: "Thank you ... This frig is at my lake house (150 miles away) and i thought the same thing just wanted to double check. Sad this frig is 1 1/2 years old and not used much."
