Question about Acer Computers & Internet
Have tried removing all connections from motherboard..but still same. Also tried Windows 7 Ultimate installation CD and tried repair option..cannot Then tried system restore which was shown a day before, selected and click on next..again same after restart.
One short beep can be DRAM refresh failure.
Only CPU + Fan + Power cable are installed on the mainboard.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: Notebook will not boot
If I understand what your problem is...
I had the same problem, it was a caused by bad Windows XP install CD.
Call Gateway and explain the situation, you may need to have a magnifying glass handy to read the tiny engraved lettering in the center of the CD disk.
Have your 'Product Key' available.
If you have some kind of sales receipt, or other "Proof of Purchase" have it handy too.
You will need to tell them, you do not have the program installed on other computers.
They can send you another disk.
This method will only work if you have a legal copy of the program.

SOURCE: Bootup problem
Your CPU is overheating.
Try and get into the BIOS and increase the fan speed & any aother fan on the system. Don't increase the temperature range, as this will damage the system.
You won't be able to sort out the software problem until the system is running within the hardware limits.
You can also run a office fan to help get the system to cool while making the changes in the BIOS.

if it is only 10months old I suggest you call them and get it fixed under warranty. you have a year from date of purchase. if no warranty just buy the disc if you didnt make the backups when it told you to. When i get these problems its usaully a hard drive but that is what i have experienced

SOURCE: On switching on acer aspire
Pressing F2 on startup enters the Setup Utility and a password to that has been set up on your netbook. In any case, you can try pressing Alt and F10 at startup to get into Acer eRecovery Management which can then restore the operating system to its original factory condition. Be aware that doing the restore clears the hard disk partition containing the operating system and all user data will be erased.
