Question about Hoover Washing Machines

Open Question

I have a hoover DYC8913B, its under 2 years old but I have moved to New Zealand so im assuming the guarantee won't be here. When we arrived it is working ok but not filling up the condenser in the door, the light for 'empty the condenser' came on, when I took the filter out the bottom all the water was sank at the back at the bottom and when I tipped it back more came out, so it was sitting right at the bottom of the machine. I checked the hose at the bottom but that's all intacked, but I can't see the other end of the hose which goes towards the back. Does anyone have any idea what the problem is or how I take apart the machine to find out?

SOURCE: Intermittent hot water valve not opening

problem may be low water pressure. try putting in a y-piece so cold water is supplied to both valves. only effect will be that wash cycle will be a bit longer

Either call the store where you purchased the machine or refer to your users manual, should have a trouble shooting guide in the back of the manual.

SOURCE: hoover 600mb doesn't spin

Valve blocked in rear of drum. Switch off power supply before cleaning. If the problem still occurs it could possibly be the brushes in the motor. both jobs are simple and very cheap to repair

Hoover dyc8913b works fine for a while then starts squealing for around 5 mins then fine again for a whileand so on. Can anyone give advice on how to stop this. Thanks

My guess is something is lodged in there causing the sound or perhaps the belt is dry and cracked and needs replacement.

Hoover softwave not doing anything except clicking

It sounds like the rotating program controller has failed. It is telling other parts of the machine to do things as part of the wash cycle and the signal is not reaching them. This is an expensive part to replace. Get it fixed under guarantee if its new. If its old replace it, but do not buy a Hoover, they are very cheaply made and fail a lot. If you want a cheap one buy a Zanussi.

How do I put a new belt on Hoover Concept One vaccume cleaner?

you most likely have to remove the cover over the roller, which has screws usually. then you will see the belt. the roller slips out replace the belt by putting it over the roller and a metal rod that is up under the cover you removed. this will be a hard job putting the roller bar back in the vacuum because the belt is so tight.

Brushes not going round

The brushes on my dyson have stopped going round. I have checked it and they move freely by hand. The belt is intact. What could the problem be? The Hoover is about 10 to 12 years old.
My dyson is a dc04

I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure.
One of the main problems with vacuums are that the flat belts on the vacuums stretch and should be changed every 4 to 6 months or 3 or 4 times a year – you can tell by taking off the belt or belts on the vacuums and compare them to the old belts on the vacuum the new belts will fix inside of the old belts and you will be able to see the difference on how much they have stretched – if the belt is a geared belt – they stretch as well but should be changed about one a year – the cost is not that expensive and you cleaning will improve almost double – this also applies for the Dyson DC04 and the Hoover vacuum as well – some of the Hoover vacuums have two (2) belts and they both should be changed @ the same time.
