Was ist los, Kamerad?
An error was detected with the magenta toner supply mechanism sensor; if rebooting the machine does not improve the symptom, you need to check the device. This does not necessarily mean that the toner cartridge is defective nor empty but that its sensor is not detecting it. Use a clean, dry Q-Tip (cotton swab on a stick) to clear toner dust from the gold contacts.

Turn on this printer while holding [+] & [-] & [help] buttons until the “OKIUSER” message appears in the LCD display. Press either [+] or [–] until “ENGINE DIAG MODE” displays. Then press [ENTER], & the display will show "DIAGNOSTIC MODE XX.XX.XX S-MODE." Press either [+] or [–] until “NV-RAM INITIAL” displays. Press [ENTER], again, to display the "TABLE 1" message. Press [ENTER] until the "EXECUTING RESET" message appears. Then, the "NV-RAM INITIAL" message will BLINK. This procedure resets the drum, the fuser, & the belt. Turn the printer off for about ten seconds before turning it back on.

SOURCE: fatal error 917 on an Oki C9600 printer

A fatal error 917 means there is a problem regarding the belt **** sensor.

Usually it means the printer can't see the transfer belt rotating.

First thing to try is to remove and re install the transfer belt, if that does not work you should replace the transfer belt.

SOURCE: machine gives me C-2251 error code after replacing

If the drum units have been in storage too long they will bind up a little.

Lightly tap the drum unit on the ground. Look on the back of the drum unit and locate a white cam gear. Take a pair of pliers an rotate this gear until it moves more freely.

141: fatal error OKI Printer

This can be caused by the transfer belt damage or the contact group damage. 141 is an error of Magenta ID up/down. Possible reason though - check the place next to the belt at the right hand side near the Magenta drum location. You'll see the terminals sitting in the housing with the spring. If the housing is fell off or the spring is missing - that can cause this error. Otherways you'll need to replace the transfer belt.

LED Head Missing, Color:Magenta

Take out the magenta cartridge to the right upper indside wall of the printer you should be able to see a small rectangular window, give it a blow of wipe with a cloth, do the same to the corresponding part of the m toner, put the drum and toner back, shut the lid and everything should be ok. If not contact oki for a replacement drum/cart.

Okie C5400 giving 162: Fatal Error

Magenta toner sensor error. Reseat drum unit. check toner cart. Take out the key that prevents you from putting drums in wrong slot and swap the whole drum and toner assy with another color, if it follows the magenta unit then that is the problem somehow.
