No, you can only do it with a xbox 360 . If you wipe it using a computer it will no longer work in the xbox 360

I bought A 60GB HARD DRIVE FOR MY XBOX 360 SLIM AND I DONT KNOW HOW IT WORKS. How do i install it?

X-Box 360 hard drives are deceptively easy to install. Simply press down the button on the flat end of the drive (Far away from the Hand in the image). Lift up and pull away. it should come loose without much force. To install your new Hard Drive. to the same thing backwards. Slide the drive backwards into where it sits. press the connection into the opening. and it should click in. syisiphis.jpg

Yes, this is a major problem with the new xbox 360. If you bought the 250 gig package, you shouldn't have to worry about this, but it sounds like you bought the 4 gig package. You don't have a hard drive. You only have an IMU(internal memory unit). You can buy an xbox 360 slim hard drive online. Install it into the hard drive slot, located on the side of the console. You're not the only one with this problem, lots of games require hard drives. For example, in halo reach, you cannot play co-op campaign or firefight without a hard drive.

When I turned on my system, it had system error contact xbox customer support. There is a red light flashing on the bottom right, around the power button. I don't know what to do. Please help.

Some of us suddenly when we turn on our Xbox 360 console one day we got one red light flashes on the ROL (Ring of Light) around the Xbox 360 power button, and we got an Error message appearing on the TV screen "System error" also might occur with any error code like E66, E67, E68, E71, E74 or E77, all the same.

When you get any of these messages appearing on your screen with one red light flashing on the ROL of your Xbox 360 console that's an indicator of a hardware problem with the console connection to one of the parts connected to it as the hard drive or cables.

So, first disconnect all power and AV cables from the back of your Xbox 360 console and also unplug the power cord from the wall socket, wait for a minute then reconnect them all back and try to turn on your Xbox 360 console once more.

If that doesn't work, it seems then to be a fault with your Xbox 360 hard drive so turn off the console again and remove the hard drive then turn on your Xbox 360 console without the hard drive, supposed then to work fine, it might be an intermittent issue and when you reconnect the hard drive your Xbox 360 will work fine all after, or it will just work fine without the hard drive so it will be then definitely a fault with your Xbox 360 hard drive so call Xbox 360 customer support to exchange the hard drive for you.

The Xbox 360 console might even keep giving you the same error code even after you remove the hard drive so it will then appear to be a fault with your Xbox 360 console not the hard drive & also in a case like this we need to contact Xbox 360 customer support to exchange the console.

The memory on my new Xbox 360 S has just been completely wiped of memory, The 250g of inbuilt memory doesn't even show up when i want to Save/Load, How can i fix this problem and get my memory back and/or...

well first you would need to determine wether or not the 250gb hard drive has failed. I assume you have the new xbox 360 slim. So what you can do is remove the hard drive and reinsert it and make sure that it is firmly attached. If you do not know how you can watch this video. make sure the xbox is off and unplugged when doing this.

after that if it still doesnt work because the xbox 360 slim is new you will be able to call microsoft and get a replacement hard drive for the unit. But as i said you need to make sure the hard drive is seated correctly and not failed/DOA. If the hard drive is failed and after reseating it you still cannot get it to work let me know and i can give you instructions on how to get ahold of microsoft and get it repaired under warranty. Thanks and have a great day.
