I am guessing that you are referring to your "Home Page"
If so, click on Safari, then Preferences, then General.
You can then type in a specific address or click to set it to the page you are on at the time. It will then make that your home page which will open each time you open Safari. I hope that was what you were asking.

Testimonial: "Thank Cedric. It's not exactly my question. I work with a laptop and I plug another screen to work with 2 screens. (the screen of the laptop and the another bigger screen) I want to have all the windows and information on the bigger screen instead of on the laptop screen. For this moment, the alert window or save window appear on the laptop screen when I work. But I want to use the bigger screen like the main screen. Thanks !"

Asus laptop blank screen after seting to default in boot menu

You might have change the boot screen in the BIOS. You need to connect it to a screen or TV that has VGA port. Try from there if you get in Video or HDMI. By default F10 is for BIOS menu some may vary.

Dell laptop not working

Usually the problem is with memory or hard drive or an old driver, mainly video. Try downloading GWSCAN 5.12 and run a quick scan on your hard drive. You can also download Microsoft's memory test and burn that on a CD, boot off of it and see if there are any memory errors. If your video driver is old, it can cause this as well. Try and update that if you can. Of course, malware or viruses can cause this as well.

Go into bios and select factory default, it will ask if you want to save the settings enter yes, when you exit the screen press F10 to exit and save all changes, on your laptop the key choice may be different so look at the bottom and double check. This should fix your problem, you may need to reload windows again.

How to restore default setting to display i am using Hp w17e

On your main screen do a right mouse click and in the drop down menu, select properties or screen resolution. That should bring up your screen settings, normally they show which setting is the recommended setting.

I had lost my Dell Latitude D600 Bios passowrd. So I removed the comos battery (behind main battery) and reinstalled it. But now my laptop is giving this message on bootup "invalid system...

  1. Set the BIOS to defaults:

  2. Restart your Dell laptop. Click on "Start," "Turn off Computer" and "Restart."

  3. Press "F2" during the boot process to enter the BIOS. Press "F2" before the Windows loading screen. Certain models may use a different key. The key will be displayed during the boot process. For most Dell models, the key is "F2."
  4. Use the "Alt" + "F" key combination to load defaults.
  5. Press "Esc" on your Dell laptop keyboard to save and exit.
  6. Choose the "Enter" key to save all changes and exit the BIOS screen. Allow your laptop to restart for BIOS settings to reset.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response

Thanks, Joe

When I use the external monitor S-video port on my Dell Inspiron 1721 running Windows 7 it only displays in black and white despite the internal monitor showing the screen in color.

Okay. For Windows Vista OS.

Go to Control Panel.

Under the Control Panel Home, select Additional Options at the bottom right of the list.

Click on Appearance and Personalization:

At the top right corner of the dialogue box, under Personalization, select "adjust screen resolution"

This will bring you to display settings:

Click the button that says "identify monitors" As each is displayed, it will present a number for which is the default or main monitor (1 or 2) 1 is the main monitor.

To change the external to the main or number one monitor: simply drag the #1 monitor to the left side (if not already there) If it is, you'll want to set the external as the default:

Do this:

While in Display settings, if the external is the #1 monitor, make sure to check the box for "extend the desktop to this monitor" and "this is my main monitor" for the external display. This should switch all settings to the external monitor.

Also, make sure the the resolution is correct for the size monitor you have. For a 20" (such as mine, external Dell monitor) the resolution is at the highest (1920 x 1080).

Also make sure it reads (to the right of that) "highest 32 bit). If this is not an options, make sure you're adjusting the external monitor and not the laptop screen. Otherwise you may need to upgrade your video card.

You should not need to do this though.

After you have set this, go to Advanced Settings and select Monitor. You will see at the top, a list of two monitors; your external with it's brand and name - and the laptop screen type and name. Select the external monitor name: Click on properties, drivers and Update Driver, then select to Automatically search online for driver.

Please let me know if you need further assitance.
