Sure it can!
If it powers up and the lights come that doesn't necessarily mean all is well. What is it doing? Will it accept a disc? make & model?
Will it spin the disc but not read it?

It will not play the radio mp3 or cd sound that is its a dual xhdr6435 it was playing fine and i pressured washed my engine bay and it still worked threw out that night then the very next morning it would not play any sound threw the speakers

Sounds like maybe some water puddles somewhere and something shorted out.

There may be a fuse or breaker accessible in the amplifier section of the unit. Another approach would be to (if possible) disconnect the speakers one at a time, perhaps that could identify where the short is..

I have done checked the wiring on the back of cd player deck all of it seems to be good

If all else fails, check with a local car audio shop, they may have seen similar situations.

IT may not be right at the unit, it could be near one of the speakers, particularly any that are down low. Did you wash the car as well? Maybe some water got into the doors, do you have door speakers?

Cd player makes humming sound

You may have a bad RCA cable connecting it to them receiver/amp. Another possibility is that the power to the CD Player (If not polarized) need to be flipped. Good luck and be careful!

Cd player has no power in my 2002 escalade

Check the radio fuse in the fuse box, if its good then its likely the in-line fuse on the power wire on the radio is bad. The second fuse is located behind the radio on the power wire.

My kenwood car cd player keeps flashing prtection?????

Either you have a bad cd player with a bad power supply or the power connections behind the radio in the main harness is not connected properly or there is a short somewhere in the back of the radio.A power wire is probably touching ground or grounding out somewhere.

Good luck.

The clock works but when I turn the cd on, there is no power.

Is a fuse blowing when the CD turns on? If so, it is either the fuse is not large enough to power the CD player, or there is a short within the player itself. Typical fuse sizes for a car CD player vary from 5 to 15 amps, but be sure to see what size is specified in the manual for your specific player.

If not, check the voltage on the main + power lead with the CD attached. If you see a sudden voltage drop when you activate the CD, you likely have a bad connection between the power source and the CD player, or between the CD player and ground. Check crimp terminals, connections at the battery or fuse panel, or any other point where wires have been joined. Remember to check both the positive (+) and negative connections. A faulty connection on either end may permit enough power to supply the clock, but not enough when the additional load for the CD player is required.

I hope this helps. Good luck!

5 disc cd player does not work

Is the unit getting power? If not, remove cover and check to see if the glass bus fuse is still good. If it is good, check power from the power supply to where it connects at the main board. If no power, then the supply is bad, if there is a sufficient amount of power, then the main board or capacitor or chipset could be faulty. You can test these components with an ohmmeter

The cd player goes off and on

This could mean your cd player is bad or the wiring is bad. You can remove the cd player to test power and grounds. If they are good during problem, replace cd player. Thanks
