Question about Proscan PS27600 27" TV
#1 GUIDEPLUS NO LONGER WORKS. I TRIED ALL THE TROUBLESHOOTINGS IN THE USER'S MANUAL WITH NO SUCCESS. I NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM IN THE PAST. I CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT THE TV GUIDE FUNCTION.
#2 WHEN I BRING UP THE GUIDEPLUS. THE TIME IS CORRECT ON THE CABLE BOX, TV & VCR BUT IT SEEMS TO BE WRONG ONLY WHEN I BRING UP THE GUIDPLUS. THE TIME IS WRONG IN THE LEFT HAND CORNER BOX SHOWING THE STATION I'M WATCHING
THANKS FOR YOUR HELP

I got an old (1995) 36" proscan without a manual, and it's been a pain to get it working. Nice enough TV once you do, though.
The weirdest thing is that S-video shows on channel 91, and the AutoProgram function won't find it. That's right; they just randomly picked 91, and you're stuck with it.
Pressing Menu on the front brings up the menu. Pressing it again cycles through choices, and the plus and minus buttons to the left of it activate the choices.
Good luck finding any more info; hope this helps

SOURCE: My Guide Plus does not work
Mine stopped mid-
December. I used the old reliable 99999 as my zip code, turned off the tv for an hour, turned it back on, entered my correct zip code and was patient. Today, the 15th of January, it popped back up. I have a feeling that it is all due to the switch over. I think different cable companies are setting things up and the gude was lost during that time. Maybe if you are patient, it will pop back up also.

I'm assuming that the buttons on the case are working - in that case the fault is in the remote - the button pads have worn out or are out of place. You should try fixing it: open the remote (a screw and some clips on the periphery) take the rubber pad off and clean it thoroughly ; then wipe very carefully the board of the remote - use alcohol for that; wait for everything to be fully dried and reassemble the remote. If after that the buttons still don't work then you need a new one.
