Question about Samsung UN40D5003 40 inch LED HDTV 1080p 120Hz
On your TV remote, press MENU and see if the menu comes up. We had the same problem but it was because we weren't using the correct set-up - our old tv was HDMI1, so we thought this new one used the same thing. But no, it uses COMPUTER as we have Wi-Fi. If the menu does come up, try each individual hookup it shows and see if that works. Good luck!!!

You need to tell bit more such as what device/ port you connect to,
has sound or not. So people have an idea if the connection pins, port or plug have a problem. If the tv itself has problem. may be the main- board failure or those internal wires which carrying signal to screen are not connect firmly. if that is a case, try to press the screen top edge see if you can get any different color on screen.
