There could be a short in one of the wires or within the amplifier itself! Check the speaker wiring first!

How do I fix my home audio pioneer amplifier from blowing the 6.3Amp fuse

If it does blows off fuse; as soon as it is switched ON; either its mains rectifier section circuit; or its audio output section circuit will have any kind of short circuit. Contact any service technician. Your set need a though check-up. Never insert a fuse, and check further; till the fault has been rectified. It might make things worse.

I'm trying to fix my Viewsonic N4825P. I have narrowed it down to the power supply since every time I replace the fuse and plug in the tv, the fuse blows. The fuses I am using are 5A 125V. Do I need t

I would suggest trying what is called a slow burn fuse of the same size, if there is something wrong with the power suppy then the fuse will continue to blow I would not recomend a higher amp fuse as this may cause other things to fry in unit.

My JVC 100 watt amp blew a fuse 125v - 6.3a. is there and alternate replacement fuse?

You can buy replacement 6.3 amp fuses at Radio Shack, but in a pinch you can substitute a 6.5 amp fuse. It's only slightly higher in value, so it will still blow soon enough if there's a problem.

However, this doesn't answer the question of why the original fuse blew. Fuses very seldom "just go bad", so before you start replacing a blown one you should find out what went wrong. Check the power supply rectifier diodes and filter capacitors for shorts. They sometimes break down with age or because of power line surges. Also look for shorted output IC's or transistors. If you can't do this yourself, see if any of your friends have experience servicing or let a professional fix it.

Please, don't just stick in larger fuses (or worse, wrap foil around them) when they blow. Many times I've seen what would have been a simple repair turned into scrap that way. Hope this has helped, and thanks for using Fixya!

Can't find 2A 125v fuse replacement for on-off will 250v be OK?

There is no difference between a 125v and 250v fuse. The most important thing is the 2Amp. This fuse is probably the line fuse and could be the only trouble and may have blow with a line surge. Make sure the 2A you use is a Fast Blow Type. If it does blow again you most likely have a internal power supply failure.

Home Amp fuse keeps blowing

This usually happens when there is a problem with the main power supply and is relatively rare. If you can post the make and model, I can give you some things to check if you are somewhat familiar with electronics.

Thanks,
Dan

Pioneer m-770 will not turn on

you probably have a short in the circuit some where. you need to replace the transistor and look at all the solder joints to make sure there not damaged or cracked. i have the same amplifier and i replaced the fuse several times and it blew every time up until the last time when the 4 of the power output transistors blew. what ever you do do not try and power it on till you do all the things i told you or you will have sparks and fire. my mistake cost me my amplifier. but might help you get yours repaired
