Question about Panasonic TH-50PX77U 50 in. Plasma HDTV
Tryed rf modular with dvd hooked components, no picture would come through though.
Sounds like tuner fault. Contact any service technician. Just do a reset to this set and check; before contacting anybody. There are two types of reset to TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight; will be better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
Service mode entry, adjust and exit procedure to many popular brand TVs are given. Never forget to exit the service mode, after all adjustments have been done.

Make sure component cables match colors between Television and DVD player. It should be TV input to DVD output. Try to play at least two DVDs to make sure its not a single DVD that may be having an issue. Also, adjust your television's picture setting to make sure its set to normal. Also access your DVD players menu to make sure the setting are set to normal as well.If it doesn't correct the problem, use a different component input on your television. If problem persists, you may need to contact the DVD player manufacturer to see if its still under warranty and not defective. Good Luck.

Usually when you have a red tint when using the component input i'ts because the wires are switched on one end or one of the 3 video wires is bad. See if blue and green are switched.I see this all the time. Is your picture grainy on all input?
