Check the glow plug circuit protection fuse or breaker.

Best to have the ECU and IP scanned. IP could have shorted leaving the light on. If a relay is stuck or ECU keeps the glow plugs hot. This will eventually burn out the glow plugs.

Its a Glo Plug relay fault and if you dont sort it you will fry your Glo Plugs

Pete, if you get no code from a reader, it only means it is a physical problem and not in the system. You could possibly just have a dirty connection at one or all glow plugs power wires. This wouldn't change the mpg at all. The EGR, if faulty diaphragm, would cause a loss of power, but that's mainly on a gasoline engine. Not sure on diesel unless the EGR is in the center of the air inlet of manifold. I removed my intake on my old Chevy 6.2 diesel and replaced it with an open one from a higher performance 6.2 and it gave it much more power because now there's no air restriction because no EGR is in the intake. This stopped the excessive smoke from exhaust also. That's just MY experience, and I just LOVE diesel.

try turning on your ignition switch dont start your engine for at least ten seconds. if still hard to start check your glow plugs and wiring associated with them

p100d error code is due to fault in EGR Valve.The EGR valve shuts off to when 3000rpm is exceeded.so the EGR Valve needs to be checked and replaced. Thanks. you can rate this solution and show your appreciation.

look where injectors are. they have 4 black 90 degere plugs on with 1 wire per plug. they go straight down, i think 10 mm head.

may need new injecters
