I had the same problem and had tried everything. The noise conceling was turned on and made no difference. I finally put a piece of sctoch tape over the second microphone located beside the flash and the problem disappeared. I think the dual microphone is causing the issue, it picks up the speaker sound and the time delay causes the echo.
Well, I don't think you can add Reverb/Echo Internally but Externally. External Echo/Reverb unit is available but most of them are AC Operated but Mipro MA-101 is Rechargeble Battery Operated. You may be able to find Battery Operated Reverb/Echo units but they are usually Line Drive (not a Microphone Drive). Go to a Music instrument store or a Guitar store. Usually they have ton of these.
Though, You will not improve the sound much at all by using Reverb/Echo unit since you are very limited by quality of the amplifier itself too.
It sounds like your microphone volume is too loud. Get someone on a call with you so they can tell you how it sounds as you adjust it. Turn down the mic volume by pressing the + & - buttons on the earpiece together once which puts the earpiece into mic adjust mode. Then decrease the mic volume by pressing the minus button a few times until it sounds right. The earpiece will automatically revert to normal mode within a few seconds.
If this doesn't work it may be that you need to adjust the compatibility setting for the new phone. This is the small black dial on the base station. The most common setting is 'A' but you may need to experiment with other settings for that phone.
there is nothing you can do about the delay as it's the time it takes for the bluetooth to send the signal to your earpiece to tell it the call is answered, the only way to stop any delay is to set your phone to auto answer in the bluetooth headphone settings or in the call settings.
