Question about Apple MacBook Air
I have sent numerous emails but they are not going anywhere. I have had a message that my password is incorrect.
Ask your Internet Service provider for the proper settings on your outgoing mail account. You enter these through your Mail application. You will need your outgoing mail server address. Their tech support will be able to set these up. My Verizon tech support actually logged into my computer and set up all the mail.

If you use email provider like Gmail or Yahoo first go directly to gmail or yahoo site using Safari and sign into your email that way if it works and no problem with your password logout and close Safari
Then go to Mail app on your mac (Stamp Icon)delete the mail account (don't worry you will not lose your emails) Then start over by setting up your email account all over again this should do the trick.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

You can try one of a few things. First look at your mail your are composing. Notice the line that says from: it should be followed by your email addres.... Across from it should be the outgoing mailserver the account will be using. If that box is blank, clik on it and select a mail server. Also, make sure the "only use this mail server" box is not checked. Once you uncheck, it should allow you to choose one of the available mail servers you already have listed.
If you don't have any out going mail servers listed, then choose the "edit mail server list" option (in that same pull down menu). Based upon you mail again setting, you will then enter the out going mail server. An example would be. (mail.charter.net.... or smtp.charter.net) Check with you email service provider to determine what that setting should be.
Hope this helps! Let me know.

Sounds like your ISP is rejecting the password stored in mail. I used to get this a lot in windows with outlook express. The best solution I used to find was to remove all the mail settings and start from scratch setting them up again.

Only Yahoo can help you. If you can't follow their instructions all you can do is to set up a new account and send everybody a message that the old account is compromised and it should be blocked from now on.
This has happened because your password has been a weak one (you haven't been hacked - they guessed it easily), don't repeat that mistake. And posting your personal data here on in any other public place is the most dumb thing possible. DON'T DO IT AGAIN ! You could lose a lot more than an email account, starting with your money and your house.
