How to use APN

The first thing you'll need to do is find the right APN settings for the network you want to use. For example below are the APN settings for Straight Talk.
Name- straight talk
APN-tfdata
Port-80
MMSC-http://mms-tf.net
MMS Proxy-mms3.tracfone.com
MMS Port-80
Once you have all this information, grab your phone. Settings>wireless/network settings. More options>mobile networks.
Once you found mobile network settings, rest will be the same on all devices. Look for "Access Point Names" then tap on it.
You should see a list with at least one APN. Add new.
This is where you will enter the settings you got from your carriers website. 2 very important things here:
1.Not every setting in the "edit access point" screen will need filled in.
2.Be sure to type in everything exactly as provided by your carrier. Once you have settings provided by your carrier entered, you need to save the APN. You do that by pressing the 3 dots in upper right and selecting "save" option.
Once your APN information is saved, go back one screen to the list we saw earlier. On this screen, tap the new APN settings you just entered to make active.

I would just like to download free software to FLASH my Verizon LG Optimus Exceed 2 so I can use it on a different carrier!! Simple. Geez!

Yes, it is. What you mean to say is "I want to unlock my Verizon LG Optimus Exceed 2 but don't want to pay a few dollars for it."

The guys that have the equipment and knowledge want to make a living - they spent time and money to be able to do what you want to do.

How do I fix my lg Optimus l-70 smart phone, it won't stop turning off and on and it won't stop vibering

Do you mean the screen turns off? Or the whole phone? If it's just the screen, that can be changed. Go to settings, then display, then sleep. You can adjust time you want it to wait until screen goes to sleep. I have mine on 5 minutes. Seems to be ok. Then to turn your phone back on from sleep mode, you just hit the on off button briefly, and screen comes back to life.

To fix vibrating, go settings, then sound, then UNCLICK 'vibrate when ringing'. Once you unclick that box, phone will just ring, but without vibrating.

Hope this helps!

How do I fix a static/sound problem on my LG optimus Exceed 2?

Use it from different locations and see if it happens everywhere. That problem is commonly related to bad channel on the cell towers.

I can't make calls nor receive

Check to make sure phone is registering in network. Check a network is selected. Try the following.
APN & data settings To set the Access Point Name (APN) and turn on data settings, follow these steps:

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap the Connections tab.
  4. Tap More networks.
  5. Tap Mobile networks.
  6. Tap Access Point Names.
  7. If available, tap the T-Mobile US APN (the bullet point fills with green). If not available, tap the Menu key, and then tap New APN.
Note: To reset your APN settings, tap the Menu key and then tap Reset to default.
  8. Verify and update the following settings for the Data APN:
    • Name: T-Mobile US LTE
    • APN: fast.t-mobile.com
    • Proxy: <Not set>
    • Port: <Not set>
    • Username: <Not set>
    • Password: <Not set>
    • Server: <Not set>
    • MMSC: http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc
    • MMS proxy: <Not set>
    • MMS port: <Not set>
    • MMS protocol: WAP 2.0
    • MCC: 310
    • MNC: 260
    • Authentication type: <Not set>
    • APN type: <Not set> OR Internet+MMS
    • APN protocol: IPv4/IPv6
    • APN roaming protocol: IPv4
    • Enable/disable APN: <greyed out unless there are multiple APN's>
    • Bearer: Unspecified
  9. Tap the Menu key.
  10. Tap Save.
  11. Tap the desired APN profile you want to use. The bullet point fills with green next to the APN profile.

Manual network selection To manually select the wireless network the device connects to, follow these steps:

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap the Connections tab.
  4. Tap More networks.
  5. Tap Mobile networks.
  6. Tap Network operators.
  7. Tap Search now.

The device detects and registers on wireless networks inside T-Mobile's calling area, but roaming networks are usually restricted to T-Mobile SIM cards. You can manually select a network only in areas where T-Mobile does not own GSM spectrum.

Switch 2G / 4G To change the band between 2G and 4G, follow these steps:

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap the Connections tab.
  4. Tap More networks.
  5. Tap Mobile networks.
  6. Tap Network mode.
  7. Tap one of the following desired band settings:
    • GSM / WCDMA (auto connect)
    • GSM only (2G only setting)
    • WCDMA only

Turn on / off Airplane mode Airplane mode turns off wireless connections. This allows you to use apps and menus, but not make calls or use the internet.

To turn on or turn off airplane mode, follow these steps:

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap the Connections tab.
  4. Tap More networks.
  5. To turn on, tap Airplane mode to select the check box. Tap OK.
  6. To turn off, tap Airplane mode to clear the check box. Tap OK.

My android 2.3.6 does not respond to touch screen

Best thing to do is back everything up and do a master reset. Some software corruption is causing the device to freeze, if you remember it never did this straight out of the box, so some software issue is causing the problem, a master reset will fix that issue
