SOURCE: Vintage Zenith Turntable starts record in middle.

Check the speed it is set at as the speed setting tells the turntable what diameter of record it will be playing.

Where can I sell vinyl records?

Don't expect to get much for them unless they are very rare editions in almost unplayed shape. You can try selling them on EBAY, go to swap markets or flea markets or antique dealers who deal in old radios and record players, or look in your area for used record stores (there are a few still around). Try VinylHunt com Hooking you up with independent record shops since 2006 Find... or Record Stores

Needle jumps on all new vinyl, but plays old records fine. New vinyl plays on other turntables without a problem. Do you have any suggestions?

Adjust the balance force up. This is a counterweight on the back of the arm. For most needles it is 1-2 grams.

While recording and playing back the recording it sounds like there is cell phone or some electrical interferrence. this happens to the cassette and vinyl converts

There could be a loose connection between the turntable and the recording device. Normally, the connecting cables are shielded to prevent this sort of problem. Maybe different connecting wires are in order. Is your recording setup located near fluorescent lights or some other interference causing source?

I purchased a Vibe Sound 3 Speed Turntable w/USB to PC and it does not have sound when I plug it in to the USB. The record is spining and I can hear sound from the needle.

The turntable won't make sound on its own when connected to the USB port. There are probably some drivers on the CD packed with the table that you'll need to install, and then you'll need to select the device in the Windows sound control panel. You'll also need some software to record and edit your vinyl if you want to transfer your records to CD.

I'm not familiar with the brand of turntable you have, just the ION, but it probably came bundled with some application on a CD. The ION table comes with Audacity, as well as some trial versions of audio processing (click and pop filter, hiss remover, etc.). Audacity is free, open-source software you can download here if you want it. It allows you to listen to and record your vinyl audio as wave files, then edit it, split tracks, add effects, and other fun things.

Bought an ion profile pro hooked it up it plays and sounds as if you had a dirty needle not clear at all however its brand new any suggestions

Hi, I presume you are using the software that came with the turntable.

I know this might sound a little (whats the word now), Patronising!

I have never really heard one but i get the impressing, that it's a case of, you gets what you pays for.

If you are interested in half decent quality, i would buy a good budget turntable with a Moving magnet cartridge HeadAmp and connect that to the audio input of your sound card. Because at the end of the day it will still take you the same length of time but you will have a far superior quality sound and recording.

You see, this is where people then start saying that cd is better than vinyl because of cheap inferior turntables hitting the market.
It doesn't give the analogue source any chance against the digital domain.

I'm sorry to go off on one, but you are not the first one that has complained about these turntables having such a bad sound.

You can get a good second hand turntable on Ebay.

Just to note - Make sure your records are in good condition, because if they are scratched, finger marked or dusty, then it could well sound like muddy water.

If you think it is faulty, then I would send it back, but i would get a couple of peoples opinion first.

If you need more help, let me know please and i will do some more research for you.

My KD-291RC has power but my turntable wont turn. I touch the needle and I can hear its on and when I move the arm towards the record or set it on it it will not turn. Help?

Your turntable is belt-driven, it's likely that the belt just fell off. The belt lives under the turntable. On my turntable (a totally different model) the turntable lifts off.
