Question about Dryers
Replace it with any two wire cable, maybe from an old TV set or something. BUT, it may have melted out because of heat for the fact you had no ground attached. Go to a 3 wire cable this time and connect the ground somewhere inside the body. It's the green wire for ground, black is hot, and white is common.

I have a 3 wire 1.8 uf and 2.7 uf fan capacitor. Mfg suggests to replace with 3 wire 4 uf and 5 uf. What will this do ? Any harm.
