Check the led light indicator of your monitor. Is it green or blue? Or is it yellow or orange? If it's green or blue, then there's no problem with your monitor. If it's yellow or orange, you may have a defective or dirty graphics card or memory.

Open your system unit chassis, remove the video card (if you have) and the memory or RAM from their slots. Clean the gold contacts or pins with a rubber pencil eraser, then wipe it with a lint-free cloth to remove the debris. Then put it back again to their slots. Test.

There's a lot of instructional videos on youtube on how to remove these parts properly, so better watch them first if it's your first time.

Hope this may help you, please rate my answer. Thank you for using fixya.

SOURCE: Power problem

NO POWER Maybe you have a faulty Power Cord try replacing that first. Secondly check your powersupply's Fan if its turning. Lastly check your power button maybe its defective. SWITCH PROBLEMS A trick can be done here. Unplug it then spray the switch (Soaked) with warm distilled water with mild soap. then let it dry using a Hair Dryer. Then test! If failed, Replace the switch. If Persists then There is a problem with the Main Board or Power Driver. FOR LONG BEEPS, ONE SHORT BEEP IN AN ENDLESS LOOP, BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH AT STARTUP Try using Memtest 86+ http://www.memtest86.com/ to diagnose your memory problem. You can also try the following methods. Turn off power, Unplug. Remove the cover of your PC. Remove the memory from the Motherboard. Note on the locks! Clean the memory contacts with an eraser yes that's right a rubber Pencil eraser. It should be shiny gold. Reseat your memory to the motherboard and Test! ====================== If you are having trouble with Newly bought items save your self from headaches by returning them and demand a replacement or a refund! You may have purchased a reconditioned\repaired\factory defect product.

SOURCE: gx260 pc wont start

Either the motherboard or power supply are bad. I've had both be the cause of the problem. Check the motherboard for bulging and discolored capacitors. The same can be true of the power supply.

To the guy above who said his were out of warranty. If the motherboard is the cause of the problem, Dell will replace it until near the end of January. Just call them up and try to convince them. We are an educational customer, but everyone should be able to get it. It's a known defect.

SOURCE: CPU fan not working

This problem is due to your Powersupply! Get your powersupply checked and if necessary get it replaced with new. Avoid repairing.

SOURCE: No display and wont boot

A Blinking Amber or Yellow power button means that the power supply is receiving power from the source but is unable to properly distribute it to the components. This can be caused by a defective power supply or a defective motherboard. Power supply is easier and cheaper to replace.

No signal on monitor, vga tested and ok

Did you check your monitor with other system or individually. If it works fine in these conditions then the issue belongs to your pc.
First of all, you have to confirm that is it the problem of VGA itself or the motherboard. For this, you have to see that does system beep when you start it because system with beeps having the error and the beep sound with continuous or 2-3 beeps relate with different issues. I am going to write down the beep conditions.

1 short beep Normal POST - system is ok 2 short beeps POST Error - error code shown on screen No beep Power supply or system board problem Continuous beep Power supply, system board, or keyboard problem Repeating short beeps Power supply or system board problem 1 long, 1 short beep System board problem 1 long, 2 short beeps Display adapter problem (MDA, CGA) 1 long, 3 short beeps Enhanced Graphics Adapter (EGA) 3 long beeps 3270 keyboard card

I have a hp a350 cpu.the problem is that the light of led has gone red,as before in working condition it was green. It can't start.the power to hardisk is also not coming.please tell a sollution.

As you say has become red and no power to the hard disk.
First check the power cable for any loose connections and check if it give power to the cpu and the fan placed on processor starts working as you start the power. If fan it starts and with in few seconds stops then your power supply/SMPS is weak or damage. So replace it for proper working of your computer. And if after power on all fines but red led on monitor and no power to hard disk Try to replace the hard disk power cables because they are not working because of it no operating system is detected and led of monitor is red. After replacing hard disk cables hard disk starts working and still no display or red led on monitor check the vga cable for loose connection or replace it.If you are using vga display from graphic card try to get display first from onboard vga slot. After it your problem will disappear and your pc run smooth and fine.

Display or power issues with my 17'' LCD screen (SVA LCD #7500L )

Check the high voltage ballast transistor.. see if one of them is burnt... If none.. it could be overheating when supply with current. The ballast transformer supply high voltage for the backlight inverter..If these were overheating then the supply voltage for your monitor will be unstable.

Check also the backlight inverter (cold cathode light) if it is busted.. the function of this backlight inverter is to give display image on the screen.. If these were busted then what you will be seeing is black on your screen. You can also replace this.

Please rate this solution if this help you. thanks..

1. Take out the battery

3. If you are not getting any power then the problem is either with your power cable or your power supply

Power but no display acer aspire L100

Try these sequence(you need another one good computer to test and interchange component and you will find out the problem):
- check your RAM, if you use two RAM start computer using one and interchange it to find out which one is bad
- if your RAM OK, check your VGA
- if your RAM and VGA OK, try to check your power supply, sometimes defective PS cannot supply sufficient power to all component to work.

hope this will help you.

Monitor turn dark frequently

it sounds like your PC trouble, you may try (it is better to make sure the monitor connect other PC ok)
1) check PC ram, change ram sticks position if there are two ram stick, or change a new ram if only one ram inside. not fix go next
2) check VGA cable connection, reseat the cable. still not fix go next
3) if you use AGP VGA card change VGA cable to onboard VGA interface (setup bios VGA to onboard),
is this helpful to you olease feedback thanks.
