Fault with its main board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ . In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.

So the standby 5vdc is working but not the rest of the power supply outputs are working? Look for PS_ON signal (3.3~5vdc for ON) from the main board that feed the power supply board. You can tak ethe power supply moudule out the do bench test using 24v lamp attach to the 24vdc out put and feed the PS_ON with 3.3v to see if the 24vdc will turn on.

Amber light on means standby voltage is high. IF amber light does not go white when power button is pushed the its one of two things.
A. No power on command from main board. Usually labeled PS-On. Should go high from 3.3v or maybe 5volts. If not present Main is defective.

B. If the ps-on line is going high then your problem is a defective power supply.

Where can I buy a power cable for Pixie model L-50T 15ince monitor ?

This monitor requires a split 12volt and 5 volt supply. If you can determine the pin-out of the mini-din connector, you can use the power connector in the PC (drive power) to run the LCD display.

12 v is for the display and the 5v might be just for the sound ans USB hub. Gary.

Mitsubishi 62 inch microdisplay hdtv w/screen w/zy

I have a list of problems common to this series here:

Cause #1
1. (Lamp may light and go out) suspect bad lamp part # 915P020010 2. Check for
12-volts DC at J-9 connector pin 4 on the Engine Driver PCB, if missing check
for an open F9A09 on the Power PCB, if it is open replace F9A09 part #
283P127060 and the Light Engine part # 939P977010 3. (Lamp may light and go out)
Check for 5-volts DC at J-9 connector pin 1 and 2 on the Engine Driver PCB if
low or missing check C9A37 and C9A38 both 3300 UFD 10 V part # 181P732040 on the
Power PCB (part # 930B921002) 4. At power on the lamp turns on and off three
times and then the unit shuts down with a red lamp LED (lamp error). Replace the
Light Engine part # 939P977010 5. Lamp enable line at J14 pin 6 does not switch
to 5 volts after turn on, 12 and 5 volt supplies are good. Suspect the Light
Engine part # 939P977010 6. Lamp enable line at connector J14 pin 6 on the
Engine Driver PCB switches to 5 volts after turn on and does go to 0-volts (low)
after 5 seconds, 12 and 5 volt supplies are good. Suspect the Lamp Power PCB
(ballast) part # 939P978010 7. Lamp enable line at connector J14 pin 6 on the
Engine Driver PCB switches to 5 volts after turn on but does not go back to 0-
volts (low) after 5 seconds, 12 and 5 volt supplies are good. Suspect the Light
Engine part # 939P977010

I would start with #3, checking the 5 volt line and replacing the listed capacitors if needed.
Please be sure to rate this solution. Thanks!

My monitor will not stay on. When I turn it on it starts for about 5 second and then it turns off. I only have the time to see the ACER logo.

what are you powering it with? I had that problem with a Daenyx which is 110 volt but uses a 12volt converter. The first time I tried it on 12volt was using a differnet cord and power from a charger. It would not work until I added a 12volt battery. The charger does does have a steady power flow it is sending 60 cycles per second - i wonder if your power source is not correct

What voltage is the dc adapter?

You will need at least a 4 amp rated regulated 12 Volt power supply.
These are commercialy available from most electronics parts suppliers.
They come on a circuit board. You can mount it in your own case and
use the original Viewsonic wire end. If you do a google search for 12
volt reglated power supplies you should find many of these.

However, with a second-hand Sprint AC adapter with 3A,
12v adapter, the screen blinks on and off
intermittently. Obviously there is some difference here between a class
2 adapter and a power supply box.

No power to 1801fp

Less than 5 bucks. Also look at the inverter board, and underneath the board it goes to Yup, common as dirt inverter could be swapped in, or - You could cut off a +12volt and +5 volt lead/connector for disk drives from a dud power supply , drill a hole, and power it externally from any **** no name power supply. Of course, replacing all electros under 100uf may get you going for under a dollar. Canberra

No Power

Power supply problems are a good possibility. If you have a DC voltmeter, you could check the outputs. In standby mode, you should see at least a +5 volt supply. This standby line is necessary to power the logic circuitry, particularly the microprocessor. In the full on mode (VCR power on), other voltages should be present in addition to the +5. You should see a +12-14 volt, (powers the capstan, video drum, & other motors if present, & possibly a supply for the LCD display of somewhere around -35 volts. A common cause for a non-working power supply in early VCRS ('80s & early '90s), such as Panasonic manufactured rigs, is defective electrolytic capacitors used to filter the above noted supplies, especially the in the +5 & +12 volt lines. Sometimes a capacitor in the primary side of the supply will go bad, causing the dead symptom. Obviously, a schematic is beneficial especially if you are a novice. If by chance bad electrolytics are the cause, and you wish to repair it, I'd suggest using capacitors designed for these switching power supplies, such as the Panasonic FC series available from Digi-Key and other suppliers. If by chance you do have one of these early rigs, these were excellent units. Most early VCRs were made like tanks, very unlike the "made to break" junkers of the last 10+ years.
