i had the same thing happen to me today. That's why I googled troubleshooting and ran across this post. I had turned the vacuum off and moved to the other side of the room and it wouldn't turn back on. Luckily my husband noticed the floor heater that was plugged into the same plug in wasn't running so he checked the brakerbox. Bingo! He reset the breaker and it came right on. Hope your problem is a simple fix like ours. :)

    did you look on the base either side. also try above clear base it shouldn`t be hard to locate. if all fails contact bissell.com
