There should be option to stop the output from its internal speaker/s; provided there is "audio out" socket/s at the back of the TV. If there is no "Audio Out" sockets at the TV; this option will not be there at its audio menu.

TV has no sound

Check whether the audio is muted by accidental press at remote control button. Enter its sound menu, and check it. If muted, as you know there will be no audio output. If not muted, check the speaker/s. If found OK; check and replace the damaged component/s at its audio output section circuit board. If needy, replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. Search the site by type in the "brand name" to your device; in the "Search box at the top right of the display window of the Homepage" to get gathered related posts.

There is no sound on tv

Hi Barend, I hope I can help you with your question. I'm assuming the TV is new to you, so I think I can point you to where you can check this on your TV. Turn on the "menu" section of your TV for TV settings. In the list of items you can change, there should be an "audio" section. Open that section. You should see a list of items. One of those items should be "TV speakers", with the option of turning them "on" or "off". If it says "off", in that section, switch it to "TV speakers on". Close the menu and check if your audio is now working.
if there is still no audio, check back in the audio section of the menu and look for "Analog Audio Out". It should be set to "variable", which means you're controlling the volume with the TV. Since I don't know your exact TV model, these are some basic areas to check. Please write the make and model of your TV in the comments section, and I'll check back in on this shortly and let me know if I have helped with anything so far and I'll help you more once I know the make and model.

No sound from tv speakers

Have you checked to make sure you don't have anything plugged into an audio out port? Or have the speakers turned off in the system menu? I'd start there before pulling the TV apart and manually checking the speakers.

My Sanyo tv was working fine and yesterday when I turned it on the volume was gone. I have tried going through the menu options to see if for some reason tv speakers were turned off but everything seems to...

The trouble is the speaker, try to check the speaker resistance, the common value of the speaker is 4 Ohms or 8 Ohms, when checking the speaker you should remove the terminal that connects the speaker so that the speaker will only be read by the tester. Using a digital tester to be exact.
