Question about Singer Sewing Machines
No problem with the presser foot and feed sysem prior to this.
Check to make sure the sewing machine is not in the darn position, if it is in the position for sewing, then the feed dogs may need a adjustment or may need replacing, having the machine checked would be a good idea

Should be on the right side in a recessed portion just above the bottom of the machine. You can see it here without paying for the manual: http://www.sewusa.com/Sewing_Machine_Manuals/Singer_Manuals/Singer_1000&UP/6233_Instruction_Manual.htm

The Singer 6233 was one of the models that briefly were made using air-powered foot controls. So you aren't looking for a traditional electrical connection. Instead, your pedal cord's female end will connect onto a black male nipple, that sticks out on the right side of the machine (the side with the handwheel). Just push it on until it feels snug.

SOURCE: The Presser Bar on my Singer 66 does not move up or down when I use the Presser Bar Lever. It seems to be stuck solid and therefore it will not lower onto the feed dogs to enable me to sew. The Presse
it's possible that the presser bar could be bent or damaged, the only way to know what is exactly wrong would be to take it to a sewing machine repair shop
