Question about Televison & Video

1 Answer

The picture will often switch to a green/blue fuzzy out of nowhere and remain that way for a period of time. I noticed that if the DVI cable is disconnected and reconnected it will work again for a while but then will ultimately fail again.

It is likely to be either the main board or the Tconn board. costing between 100 & 200 Euros. They can be bought online, but Tv's are not to be messed with. Proceed with caution.

Call 1-800-Samsung to set up a warranty service call. They will repair it in your home if they send a Samsung Field Engineer. You probably have a bad Main bd.

SOURCE: Unable to get my PlayStation

First make sure your PS3 does not have any video game or movie disks in the console.

Then try hooking up just the HDMI connector to the TV.

Then turn on your TV and switch the TV INPUT MODE SELECTOR to HDMI.

Now place the PS3 in STANDBY by pushing and holding down the POWER button for about 8 seconds, until you hear the machine beep twice.

You should now see an option to view at the highest resolution. Select YES.

Repeat this process 2 or 3 times with the HDMI if necessary.

If you are still unable to get a signal, then switch to the AV cables and repeat the process.

Good luck.

Y/Pb/Pr outputs are green; needs

There is no calibration for the component video that I know of, check your cables you may have a bad Pr cable or the Pr/Pb ones may be mixed up.

Y (the green one) is for luminance, plug in ONLY this connector and you should see a black and white picture.

Now connect the Pr. You will now see red tones.

Now connect the Pb. And you will see blue tones.

Reverse the Pr and Pb and see what happens.

Oh and make sure you don't accidently have one plugged into a composite video or digital audio port.

Still not looking right?

Go into the input menu of the TV and change the component (or colourstream) input from RGB to Y/Pr/Pb. (most TVs do not have this feature.

Hope this helps!

No sound on play back using camcorder on technika tv

Looks like you are using Component cables. There are five cables. The first three cables are Green,Blue and Red. These are the ones that are molded next to each other and are the Video signal cables. The other two cables are Red and White and they are the audio cables.
First to correctly hook up these cables you need to Connect (Match) Color for Color. (Green to Green, Blue to Blue, and Red to Red. To tell if you have correctly connected the Video cables is to look at the screen. If the picture looks ok (Normal with no colors missing then you have connected the video cables correctly). If you see a missing color meaning red, then switch the Red cables. The picture should be ok now. The remaining two cables are the Red and White cables. The "Red cable" is for the "Right" audio input and the "White" cable is for the "Left" audio Input". If all is connected correctly then you should have a good picture and Left and Right audio.

Green tint to picture when dvi cable is connected

The tv will show correctly in 720p mode. Cable box and PS3 must be set to display in 720p or the green tint will remain. For the PS3 I return it to 1080p when I am about to play a game, blu-rays and dvd's can only play in 720p.

Blue crt shot

The coolant in the blue tube has no doubt congealed to an oatmeal like consistancy. Did you notice things like blue halos around things for some period of times. change the coolant. that should correct the blue. this is a common thing for that model as well as all TVs. Blue and green has this happen, Red seems to not have the same trait.
