How do I get sound

I've tried talking into the microphone and I've tried pressing up and down buttons before I film and I've pressed mode while I'm about to film

You didn't provide the model number of your video camera, so I can only suggest you look in your owner's manual for recording setup instructions. If there is something on setting audio recording level or mute/unmute for the microphone, it should be in there.

If you can't find the manual that came with your camera, go to the manufacturer's website, find the Support link, then look there for downloads for your model number.

Mute Microphone
With the handset
You can temporarily turn Off the microphone so that the person you are talking with cannot hear you.
1)Press menu/del during talk mode (while phone is in use).
2)Press ring/vol/? or ring/vol/? to move the pointer to Mute and then select/
.
Mute On and appear in the display. To cancel muting, repeat above step again when Mute
is set to on, Mute Off appears.
With the base
While using the base speakerphone, press mute on the base to turn Off the microphone.
Press mute again or press (speaker) to cancel muting.

Yes. Press the MODE button then use cursor-up/down to select the motion picture mode (the film icon). Press the shutter button to start recording, press it again to stop.

How do I mute the handset of my uniden powermax 5.8 ghz? Thanks


To mute the ringer, while in standby mode press the volume-down button to select Off.
To mute the microphone, while talking press the MUTE softkey.
To put the phone into do-not-disturb mode, press and hold the do not disturb button on the base.

Voicezone talking pedometer instructions, turn off alarm


Push both the up and down buttons at the same time. You might have to repeat this two or three times. It will tell you when the alarm is off.

Olympus sp510uz no sound on video


From SP510 camera switched off:
1. Turn dial on top plate to movie mode (selections from the menu screen apply to the mode the camera is set in);
2. Switch on SP510 power;
3. Press "MENU" button on back plate;
4. Select "Camera Menu" from screen if not already on it, using navigation buttons on back plate
5. Scroll down yellow "Camera menu" tabs to microphone picture (below "Digital Zoom"), which may be showing "off". Select OK and toggle yellow tab from "off" to "on", then press OK button.
6. Microphone tab should now show "on".
7. Return to main menu (press MENU button).
8. Return to image screen (press MENU button).
9. Test to see if video now records sound.
10. If is still doesn't record sound, try "reset" from video menu screen (this will reset the movie mode to factory settings, including microphone on).

i believed the problem is the TV mode. (NTSC or PAL mode)

try this
turn mic OFF
press and hold 8 then press power buton (PAL to NTSC)
or
turn mic OFF
press ang hold 9 then press power button (PAL to NTSC)

Need to set the date and can't find manual--


Try this:
1. With power off, press the MODE button to select the DATE mode.
2. Press the zoom out (three trees) button for more than two seconds to enter the date/time set mode.
3. Press the zoom out (three trees) button to select year, month, day, hour, or minute (selected number will flash).
4. Use the zoom in (one tree) button to advance the number.
5. Repeat steps 3. and 4. to set each value.
6. Press the zoom out (three trees) button until the colon (in the hours:minutes) is flashing. When the colon stops flashing, date and time setting is completed.
7. Press the MODE button and the power will switch off.

Audio Dubbing may vary by model. Most Digital Camcorders are equipped with this feature. To verify that your model is, please view the User Manual. Audio Dubbing * The AUDIO DUBBING function only works in PLAYER Mode. * You can add sound to the original sound on a pre-recorded tape, recorded in SP mode with 12bit sound. * Use the internal and external microphones or other audio equipment. * The original sound will not be erased. Dubbing sound 1. Set the camcorder to PLAYER mode. * If you want to use an external microphone, connect the microphone to the external MIC input jack on the camcorder. * When you wish to dub using the External A/V input, connect the AUDIO/VIDEO cable to the camcorder by inserting the cable jack into the A/V in/out terminal at the left side of the camcorder. - Press the MENU button, turn the MENU DIAL to highlight A/V and press the ENTER button. - Turn the MENU DIAL to highlight AV IN/OUT and press the ENTER button to select AV IN. 2. Press the (PLAY/STILL) button and find the timeframe of the scene to be dubbed. 3. Press the (PLAY/STILL) button to pause the scene. 4. Press the A.DUB button on the Remote Control. * A.DUB will be displayed on the LCD. * The camcorder is in a ready-to-dub state for dubbing. 5. Dubbed audio Playback 1. Insert the dubbed tape and press MENU button. 2. Turn the MENU DIAL to highlight A/V. 3. Press the ENTER button to enter the sub-menu. 4. Use the MENU DIAL to select AUDIO SELECT from the submenu. 5. Press the ENTER button to enter the sub-menu. 6. Using the MENU DIAL, select the AUDIO playback channel. Press the ENTER button to confirm the audio playback channel. * SOUND1 : play the original sound. * SOUND2 : play the dubbed sound. * MIX(1+2) : play back SOUND1 and 2 equally mixed. 7. To exit, press the MENU button. 8. Press the (PLAY/STILL) button to playback the dubbed tape. Note: When you playback added sound (SOUND2 or MIX mode), you may experience loss of sound quality.
