How do I get sound

I've tried talking into the microphone and I've tried pressing up and down buttons before I film and I've pressed mode while I'm about to film

You didn't provide the model number of your video camera, so I can only suggest you look in your owner's manual for recording setup instructions. If there is something on setting audio recording level or mute/unmute for the microphone, it should be in there.

If you can't find the manual that came with your camera, go to the manufacturer's website, find the Support link, then look there for downloads for your model number.

Unmute handset


Mute Microphone
With the handset
You can temporarily turn Off the microphone so that the person you are talking with cannot hear you.
1)Press menu/del during talk mode (while phone is in use).
2)Press ring/vol/? or ring/vol/? to move the pointer to Mute and then select/
.
Mute On and appear in the display. To cancel muting, repeat above step again when Mute
is set to on, Mute Off appears.
With the base
While using the base speakerphone, press mute on the base to turn Off the microphone.
Press mute again or press (speaker) to cancel muting.

In order to get the most out of your new radio, read this reference guide completely before attempting to operate the radio.

Turning the Radio On and Adjusting the Volume

1) Press and hold the key to turn the radio ON.

2) To change the volume level press the volume/monitor up or down key to increase or decrease the volume level.

3) Press and hold the key to turn the radio OFF.

Adjusting the Sound (Key Beeps)

Your radio emits a beep each time one of the keys (except for the PTT button and call key) is pressed.
The sound of the Key Beep will increase or decrease depending on the volume level setting.

To turn OFF this beep:

Press and hold the call key while turning ON the radio.

To turn ON this beep:

Turn the radio OFF and ON again.

Choosing a Channel

Your GMR325-2 radio has 22 channels you can use to talk to others. In order to speak to someone,
each of you must be set to the same channel.

To choose a channel:

Press the channel/scan up or down key to increase or decrease the channel number displayed.

Channel Scan Feature

Your GMR325-2 radio has a channel Scan feature that allows you to easily Scan all 22 channels. When an active channel is detected, the unit will pause on that channel until the channel is clear. Then after a 2 second delay, the unit will continue scanning.

Pressing PTT button while the Scan is paused on a channel will allow you to transmit on that channel.

To turn ON channel scanning:

Press and hold either the channel/scan up or down key. The channel number on the display
will rapidly cycle through the channels.

To turn OFF channel scanning:

Press either the channel/scan up or down key.

Talking on Your Radio

To talk to others using the radio:
1) Press and hold the PTT button and speak in a clear, normal voice about 2-3 inches away from the microphone.

While you are transmitting the tx icon is displayed. To avoid cutting off the first part of your transmission, pause slightly after pressing the PTT button before you start talking.

2) When you are finished speaking, release the PTT button.You can now receive incoming calls. While receiving, the rx icon is displayed.

Transmitting a Call Alert Tone

Your GMR325-2 radio is equipped with a call tone that will be transmitted when the call key is pressed.

To transmit the call alert tone, press the call key.

The tone will automatically be transmitted for a fixed length of time.

Auto Squelch Feature

The GMR325-2 is equipped with an automatic squelch system which shuts off weak transmissions
and unwanted noise due to terrain conditions or if you have reached your range limit.

Monitor Mode Feature

Your GMR325-2 radio allows you to listen for weak signals on the current channel at the press of a key.

To turn ON monitor mode:

Press and hold the volume/monitor up or down key. The rx icon will blink.

To turn OFF monitor mode:

Press the volume/monitor up or down key. The rx icon will stop blinking.

Automatic Power Save Feature

Your GMR325-2 has a unique circuit designed to dramatically extend the life of the batteries. If there is neither transmission nor an incoming call within 2 seconds, your radio switches to the Power Save mode. The radio is still able to receive transmissions in this mode.

KEYLOCK ON/OFF

Press and hold the call key until the "L" appears. After 1 second, the LCD will return to the channel display.
To exit Keylock on mode, press and hold call again.

Note: While in keylock on mode, it will still receive transmissions.

ROGER BEEP

Roger Beep is a BEEP that is sent to notify the end of transmission.
Roger Beep can be heard through the speaker when Key Beep is on.
Roger Beep is transmitted even if key beep is turned off. However Roger Beep will not be heard from the speaker.

To turn OFF Roger Beep: Press and hold the channel/scan up Key while turning on the radio.

To mute the ringer, while in standby mode press the volume-down button to select Off.
To mute the microphone, while talking press the MUTE softkey.
To put the phone into do-not-disturb mode, press and hold the do not disturb button on the base.

Voicezone talking pedometer instructions, turn off alarm


Push both the up and down buttons at the same time. You might have to repeat this two or three times. It will tell you when the alarm is off.

Olympus sp510uz no sound on video


From SP510 camera switched off:
1. Turn dial on top plate to movie mode (selections from the menu screen apply to the mode the camera is set in);
2. Switch on SP510 power;
3. Press "MENU" button on back plate;
4. Select "Camera Menu" from screen if not already on it, using navigation buttons on back plate
5. Scroll down yellow "Camera menu" tabs to microphone picture (below "Digital Zoom"), which may be showing "off". Select OK and toggle yellow tab from "off" to "on", then press OK button.
6. Microphone tab should now show "on".
7. Return to main menu (press MENU button).
8. Return to image screen (press MENU button).
9. Test to see if video now records sound.
10. If is still doesn't record sound, try "reset" from video menu screen (this will reset the movie mode to factory settings, including microphone on).

i believed the problem is the TV mode. (NTSC or PAL mode)

try this
turn mic OFF
press and hold 8 then press power buton (PAL to NTSC)
or
turn mic OFF
press ang hold 9 then press power button (PAL to NTSC)

Need to set the date and can't find manual--


Try this:
1. With power off, press the MODE button to select the DATE mode.
2. Press the zoom out (three trees) button for more than two seconds to enter the date/time set mode.
3. Press the zoom out (three trees) button to select year, month, day, hour, or minute (selected number will flash).
4. Use the zoom in (one tree) button to advance the number.
5. Repeat steps 3. and 4. to set each value.
6. Press the zoom out (three trees) button until the colon (in the hours:minutes) is flashing. When the colon stops flashing, date and time setting is completed.
7. Press the MODE button and the power will switch off.

Audio Dubbing may vary by model. Most Digital Camcorders are equipped with this feature. To verify that your model is, please view the User Manual. Audio Dubbing * The AUDIO DUBBING function only works in PLAYER Mode. * You can add sound to the original sound on a pre-recorded tape, recorded in SP mode with 12bit sound. * Use the internal and external microphones or other audio equipment. * The original sound will not be erased. Dubbing sound 1. Set the camcorder to PLAYER mode. * If you want to use an external microphone, connect the microphone to the external MIC input jack on the camcorder. * When you wish to dub using the External A/V input, connect the AUDIO/VIDEO cable to the camcorder by inserting the cable jack into the A/V in/out terminal at the left side of the camcorder. - Press the MENU button, turn the MENU DIAL to highlight A/V and press the ENTER button. - Turn the MENU DIAL to highlight AV IN/OUT and press the ENTER button to select AV IN. 2. Press the (PLAY/STILL) button and find the timeframe of the scene to be dubbed. 3. Press the (PLAY/STILL) button to pause the scene. 4.
