It sounds as if it is trying to boot from a network.

Try resetting the BIOS start up options to boot from the hard drive.

Try using the F2 key on start up.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Recently i asked a question bout my acer laptop. I get the names confused but my laptop brand is asus and my operating system on it is windows 8. My point is, is im locked out of the actual home screen...

If you have files that you do not want to lose, you could try this... Pull the hard drive out, and use a "USB Hard Drive Adapter" (available fairly cheap online) to connect the hard drive to a friend's computer, and save all the personal files (documents, pictures, etc.) you can to a folder on the friend's computer or an external hard drive.
Then, you could try to do a Factory Restore on the computer, and if that works, copy your personal files back to your newly restored computer.

Trying to attachment to a file and it is asking for version 2.0 50727 from .net framework??

Not sure what upload monitor is, but actually framework is now up to version 4.0 so download it.

www.google.com then type in the search box "download .net framework 4.0" (without the quotes). Download and install it from Microsoft's site.

ASP.NET Machine Account

Go to Microsoft website and in the search bar type in ( .NET Machine support) That should take you to a help section or a page within the MS site with some answers for that problem. If not, I have found that if you run the recovery or restore at boot-up that 95% of the time it will solve the problem for you. Hope that helps.

My monitor is not allowing me to display a resolution

If you have the origional CD that came with the monitor, use that to re-install the drivers for the monitor back onto the pc. Then go to viewsonic and look for updates. Do a "system restore" and put the system back to the condition prior to doing all of this. I will re store your files to what they were but "system restore" will not roll back "windows updates". This will tell you if it is something you did or windows did.

My laptop is running extremly slow, can someone explaine to me whether or not I have a chipset problem or a faulty processer or if Im being an idiot and its something simple.

Try downloading the following CD to run diagnostics on your hard drive. This should provide further information as to what is wrong with your system: http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/ It will scan your hardware for problems, as well as have the ability to scan for viruses. If you have the ability to boot into SAFE MODE with Networking, try using the following site for the latest up-to-date scan for viruses and spyware: http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ Finally, some of your system files may have been corrupted. If the above 2 steps don're resolve the problem, follow the instructions in this article to restore corrupted system files. http://www.short-media.com/review.php?r=313
