Is the buzzing constant frequency

or is it a hum like 50 or 60HZ mains
if its a buzzing like zzzxzxzxzzzzzzzzzz this is a bad connection in the mains and i would turn everything off
and get your supply checked out

SOURCE: Shows to be stuck in Standby.

hold down the enter button and the advanced surround button for 5 seconds or so and the amp will restart, the display will come up and hopefully it will be ok. its often caused by using speakers under 8 ohms, or damaged speaker cables etc

SOURCE: IR receiver on unit not working?

Sounds to me like the issue is the rx in the unit. It can be fixed with very little work if you can locate the part. Let me take a look and see if I can locate the part number for you. Although I have to say that Kenwwod can keep a tight lip on their parts lists.

On my Kenwood vr-505 Under the speaker symbol it says clip and there is no sound coming from the speakers

Hello. My name is Dave. Unplug the receiver. Plug it back in. When you first push the power button, you should hear one relay click. Within about 5 seconds, you should hear another click. My guess is, you don't hear the second click. Am I correct?

Hello I am trying to hook up a dvd player to my kenwood vr 505 that has been in storage for a while. How do you hook up a HD tv and dvd. Does it go out from the receiver to the tv, and does the dvd go...

If you are using HDMI cables for HD then you will need to connect this from your dvd player to you tv. Then connect your dvd player to you amp using either fiberoptic cable or co-axil (orange) this will transfer your dolby digital signal. Then connect other stuff like video / freeview etc to the yellow red and white on amp, you may need a scart to phono cable. Then connect monitor out from you amp to the yellow on your tv .This way when you select the source on the amp the picture will change also. If you search the web for vr-505 manual there are some sites offering it.
