Question about Panasonic Televison & Video

1 Answer

Purchase a Panasonic TC-42PX24 Serial No. MD02651147. The push on/off switch make a relay click noise. Nothing come on. If I purchase the mother board is that going to fix the problem or I'am wasting

Dismantle back of flat screen on discover the two relay that click on when pushing the on/off. Got a good shock buy touching the relay. The relay only make a brief contact then disengage frustrated look up to see if it was and easy fix, but it looks like it may be in the mother board. Before I invest $40.00 more is this the PROBLEM to fix it?

You can kill yourself touching the power inverter for a monitor.
Get a new whatever this is,k most of these things aren't made to be repaired. Get on CraigsList and get a used one that works.
Cheers,
Kelly

How do I safely replace the A-board on a Panasonic TC-42PX24 plasma TV? (Or, how do I confirm that the A-board is truly the problem component?)

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices.

If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.
Search the site by type in the "brand name" to your device, in the "Search box at the top right of the display window of the Homepage" to get gathered related posts.

Hello, lighting hit and my plasma Panasonic tc-42px24 will not turn on. completly dead. was told it maight be supply board??? thanks

Power surges wreck havoc with power supplies since they are first in line and bear the brunt of the rushing power. Try replacing the power supply board on the cheap by getting a used one on ebay to minimize the expenditure in case that is not it. Always a possibility,

Purchase a Panasonic TC-42Px24. The problem it does not not turn on, really click nothing more.

Better take it back to the dealer where you bot it. This is a warranty problem and will require the makers assistance since it is a new set and should still be under warranty.

How do you to troubleshoot a Panasonic Vierra tc-P46G25 TV that does not turn on?

Check for bad capacitors (they'll look bloated) on the power supply board. Also check the voltages on the power supply board with your meter ; they should be etched on the board at test point location(s)

Will not turn on, no blinking lights, power coming from cord is good

Sounds like the power supply board is dead. Probably has a blown power line fuse on the board. A power surge will sometimes blow the fuse and protect the board from damage. Replacing the fuse will restore the TV if this is the case. Most times though, the supply has a blown part that causes the fuse to blow and your only option then is to replace the board.

Won't turn on no lights

Panasonic TV's will blink the power light to indicate which part of the tv is failing. If you don't get a blinking light at all, then you have a power supply problem.

Clicking noise approximately 1 second apart

That clicking noise is possibly your compressor overload kicking off because it cannot start the compressor. Most times the start relay or the start capacitor are defective. But because your refrigerator has a mother board located on the back and behind a panel. We need to consider the board is going out. Unplug the refrigerator and pull away from the wall. Remove the screws on the rear panel to expose the mother board. Need to look for burn marks on both sides or a signed that a relay has been over heating. The board is part number WR55X10656
a5ba56b.jpg If we find the board is OK, we can check the other components mentioned, Thanks, Sea Breeze
