Question about Kyocera Cell Phones

My kyocera phone did an update lastnight now when i turn it on all it does is vibrate i tried doing the system restart by holding down the volume and power button it says wiped clan but still just vib

Trieddoing thereset system by holding down the power button and volume button say s its done but then when you restart the phone it goes blank and starts vibrating again

Sounds like the phone did a soft brick when updating. You'll need to reinstall the update or install the old rom again.

Sounds like the phone may have gotten wet. Check behind the battery for a white circle sticker, it will be red if the phone has gotten wet. Best of Luck.

I'm not sure what carrier you have but have you set the phone to "Vibrate Only" and then go into Tools/Ring Styles/Vibrate Only Detail and try selecting a few various vibrate settings? When you step through the various selections, the phone should vibrate and give you an example of each. If it doesn't, the ******** motor may be defective.

The ******** motor is just a very small motor with a piece of metal (usually in the shape of a half moon) mounted on the motor shaft. Since the metal is not symetrical it causes a vibration when the motor is activated.

Please make a hard reset . 1.In order to turn off the phone hold down the Power button for a short while.

Hard reset

1. Power down the phone
2. Hold down the volume up, end key, trackball and send key simultaneously.
3. Phone boots. After it vibrates you let go.
To reset Kyocera Zio try the following:

1. Remove battery and put it back after two minutes
2. Press and hold down the home button key while turning on the phone.
3. If by chance the phone starts , do Menu Button > Settings > SD Card USB MASS > Factory Data Reset

If it does not work, try:


Hard reset 2.

1. Power off the phone.

a. Formatting Data and Cache appears
1. If you do not see the above (Formatting Data and Cache) redo steps 1 through 7.
2. If you get a Fast Boot, Self Test or Blue screen redo steps 1 through 7.
3. Allow the phone to completely reboot. This may take a few moments.
4. The phone has now been re-set to factory default settings. Please proceed through standard set up and activation procedures.

Do a Full Reset THIS WILL DELETE EVERYTHING!!!!!!!

  1. Press and hold the Volume down and Power buttons at the same time until you feel a vibration (about 10-15 seconds).
  2. When you feel the vibration, immediately press and hold the Volume down button until you see a large exclamation mark.
  3. Once the exclamation mark appears, press the following four buttons in this order: Volume up , Volume down , Power , Volume down . Your phone should now reset and restart itself. (It might take a while for the reset to finish.)


Try again in 134600 minutes

Press volume up & down & power - when the phone vibrates IMMEDIATELY press the home button and after 2-3 seconds release the power button... What you're going for is that the phone tries to restart with volume up & down & home button pressed...

Press and hold both Volume UP and DOWN + POWER ON / -->( HOME ).
Select Factory reset with Volume Down button and press Power to reset. All data will be lost!
or
Turn off S6500. Press and hold POWER + ENTER button for reset menu.

turn off the phone , then
Hold down the power button and the (down arrow) on the volume
until the phone turns on.
A Green Android robot should appear, with some choices.
use your Volume buttons to move up or down and highlight the different options.

use the Power Button to execute the choice.
(mine only has 3 choices: clears Davlic cashe, Clear user settings/ restore to factory, and Restart)

Hard Reset.

Phone is completely reset as if it came out of the box. You'll need to *228 and reload ALL of your data.
