Question about Intertherm Heating & Cooling
Breaker is ok not sure what else to look at
If you have recently changed your filter sometimes the door doesnt go back on right to depress the door switch. if you have power going to the unit the next place in line is the door switch. it looks like a light switch in your refrigerator and the door must be in place properly to depress it all the way

SOURCE: breaker keeps tripping
If the breaker itself is more than 15 years old, replace it. If it continues to switch off, check the amp draw of both the inside and outside unit.

You absolutely must stay with Therin's recommendation. You do have a block or a cracked heat exchanger and this is nothing to toy with. Carbon Monoxide is very serious and dangerouos. All of your new furnaces should be power ventilated and you need to retire that one.

Sounds like a downflow electric furnace? If so it sounds like you have 15kw worth of electric heat, you might have a defective heating sequencer, witch is what they call a dual on one plate.

SOURCE: elec. intertherm FURNACE
It would help if I knew what type of system you have, lets start with the thermostat. If you disconnect the wires to it, does the heat turn off? I have seen thermostat wires pinched inside the wall, thus bypassing the thermostat controls altogether and it would run constantly. If you send a reply, tell the type. Wall furnace, central unit, heat & cool, gas, electric or heat pump. If you dont know tell me how many wires you have at the thermostat and the colors. You should know this, as you have changed it.

SOURCE: weak flame in intertherm furnace
Ok, so we can rule out the ignitor. (standing pilot systems can develop problems that will cause such symptoms.)
Check the gas pressure, make sure you are getting 11 to 14 PSI.
You need that after the regulator all the way to the manifold.
Also check for cracks in the heat exchanger, causing the wind from the blower to distort the flame pattern enough to cause improper contact with the flame sensor.
Make sure the burners and flame channels are clean of rust, and dibri build up, allowing the flame to properly contact the sensors.
