Hello there, my trusty Epson Stylus Pro 4000 isn't producing as wide a range of Cyan as it used to. Swatches of cyan going from 10 to 100 were fine and now when the swatch hits 70 it's pretty...

Sounds like the cyan is somewhat clogged. Honest advice would be to replace the printer. Inkjet printers are 95% of the time not worth servicing and it is typically economical to just replace.
If your looking for a printer with long term investment spend the extra money for a laser printer. Much easier to repair.
There is a reason that Inkjet's has no repair section in the A+ certification.
Comment back if you need anything else.
Thanks!

I have a Canon ip1800, which keeps coming up with the message," ink absorber is full" Please advice how to sort this problem. Thank you

The printer counts the number of prints and cleaning cycles and when you get that error you need a shop to replace the ink absorber pads and reset the counter so the error goes away. If you bypass the error, the ink will fill up and leak out or ruin the printer sensors. The absorbers cover the entire bottom of the printer and require complete disassembly to remove.

New inkjet cartridge won't work

Clean the contact points on the cartridges with a dry, lint-free cloth.

1. Open the top cover of the printer.

2. Remove the print cartridges.

3. Clean the copper-colored contact points on the cartridges with a damp, lint-free cloth.
Use a dry, lint-free cloth to remove moisture from the contacts.

5. Insert the cartridges back into the printer.

6. Close the top cover.

7. Try printing again.

Will not pull paper into printer...half the time

What sort of paper are you using? What sort of volume has the machine done? Have you ever had a jam and pulled the paper back out through the auto sheet feeder instead of feeding it through the exit rollers?
