Yes it can be repaired but it depends if your willing put that kind of money into it.

The repairs all depend just how damage got done but I suspect that your going to need a new cylinder and piston set plus the gaskets. A new cylinder kit runs over 325.00 usd or higher depending who you pay it from plus labor if they install it.

You will probably just be better off buying a replacement blower

Leaf blower problems

Greetings & salutations Charles Klink,

You need to correct your 2 cycle oil to fuel ratio...

The engine needs the appropriate oil mix to keep the engine from seizing...

It is REALLY ******* the engine not to
be completely meticulous about your oil/fuel mix.

Hope this helps

How do I change the oil in my 4 cycle engine Craftsman Leaf Blower?

If this is a hand held machine. It doesn't require engine oil changing.!

Although its a 4 cycle engine. its basically a 2 stroke engine with valves. It runs on the same fuel/ oil mix as a normal 2stroke engine. 50:1

What happens if you use 40:1 fuel to oil mix in a 50:1 echo pb251 leaf blower engine?

it is always better to use to much oil than not enough, using not enough will cause major damage to the engine. The oil in the gas mix is what lubes the cylinder/rings against the cylinder walls. 40:1 is way lean of oil for a 50:1 mix engine

Have Stihl model Br400 Backpack the problem is the engine will not reach top rpm.

The oil to gas ratio is off - you need to either dump the fuel or run all the fuel out of the unit clean the carb and tank - replace the plug and filter mix gas and oil to correct ratio start and let run for 10 to 15 minutes - your carb may need to be adjusted as well.

Required fuel oil mix

Two-stroke oil with a 50:1 (Gas:Oil) mix ratio is required for the Husqvarna 125B leaf blower. Using the wrong oil or improper mixture ratio can drastically affect the performance of the leaf blower.

I don't know what fuel my leaf blower needs.

Almost every leaf blower uses gasoline mixed with 2-cycle mixing oil. Unless you have a larger, commercial model with a separate oil tank, you'll need to purchase mixing oil and mix it with your fuel. You can find mixing oil at PartsBuggy.com.

Gas and oil mixed in 4 cycle backpack leaf blower

If it is a 4 cycle blower, you do not mix oil with the fuel....It takes straight Gas. there is an oil cap to put engine oil in crankcase, this only usually takes 2,3,4 oz. of oil. Sounds like your Spark Plug probably fouled out from having oil mixed in your gas. I would recomend changing your Spark Plug and put some Fresh GAS only in the blower, dump the old stuff out !!! You should be on your way Blowing in No Time !

We have a Homelite Leaf Blower HB-180V Please adfvise the correct gas mixture for this product. Thanks. Bonnie Frommeyer

This appears to be an older model, which means more oil was allowed to be mixed with the fuel and the carburetors were tuned accordingly. The EPA has changed all that now. Your mix ratio is listed at 32:1. See the simple chart.

Wht is the gas to oil ratio for a homelite vac

Yours is not a current model and I did not find a manual. The following is an excerpt from a 26cc MightyLite Blower/Vac UT08550/UT08951 "Operator's Manual":
This product is powered by a 2-cycle engine and requires pre-mixing gasoline and 2-cycle lubricant. Pre-mix unleaded gasoline and 2-cycle engine lubricant in a clean 1 gallon container approved for gasoline.
Recommended fuel: This engine is certified to operate on unleaded gasoline intended for automotive use.
Mix Homelite Premium Exact Mix lubricant with gasoline according to the instructions on the package. If Premium Exact Mix lubricant is not available, use a high quality synthetic 2-cycle engine lubricant, mixed at 2.6 oz. per gallon (US).
Do not use automotive lubricant or 2-cycle outboard lubricant.
NOTE: Premium Exact Mix fuel mix will stay fresh up to 30 days. DO NOT mix quantities larger than usable in a 30 day period.
PREMIUM EXACT MIX (50:1)
GasolineLubricant
1 gallon (US) 2.6 oz.
1 Liter 20 cc (20 ml)

1 quart fuel:3/4 ounces of oil = 1 Gallon fuel:3 ounces of oil or slightly less than 43:1. Not what a current manual recommends.

If properly adjusted your blower will operate fine on 50:1 regardless of what the manual reads. HTH
