SOURCE: hoover washing machine Mod OPH 714D Error E16 in

After far more research than I usually have to do, It seems that E16 means "O/C Heater"

Which means that the heating element is open curcuit. Which menas......

Either the heater element has a wire off at the back, or more likely the heater element is burned out.

They are easy to replace. Pull the machine out and remove the rear inspection plate at the bottom of the body (I think this machine has one!, sorry if it doesn't).

At the bottom of the drum, you will see a atainless steel cover, about 4 inches limg and a third of an inch wide, with rounded ends. There will be 2 spade connectors with wires in them (1 either end of the plate) and a 10mm nut in the centre. The nut tightens up a squeeze plate inside that crushes up a rubber seal to hold it in place. Undo the nut fully (you may have to push the little stud bolt that is now exposed in a little to free it off) The element should now withdraw if you grab hold of the spade connectors and tug a little to break the seal before you withdraw it.

Replacement should be the reverse of removal.

Hoover optima not displaying correct wash times

Seems that if the fault seems to be permanent it is due to failure of the PROGRAM CONTROLLER UNIT.
You will need to check on the connectors to and from the controller, clean and reset. If not replacement of the controller is the only solution.

Hoover oph 714d optima 7kg washing machine fault code e05

Hi

Error code e005 means the temperature sensor has gone bad. To fix this error you'll need to replace the temperature sensor. It might have happened that the temperature sensor wires have been disconnected from the main board. To replace the temperature sensor you'll need to disassemble the washer and inspect the drum's bottom for the temperature sensor. Also check the wires coming to the sensor fro any cut.

Please post back for any further assistance.
