To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. When I turn the tv on it continuously switches from HDMI1, HMDI2, PC, 2, VIDEO, COMPONENT. I've turned it off & on. I can't get it to stop.

Could be the channel change button on remote is jammed - try taking batteries out of remote, see if that helps. If it does, replace remote.

Emerson LCD TV Model LD190EM1 Sony Blu-Ray Disc Player, Model BDP-S3100, The TV screen gives an error reading "Format not supported" when I connected it using either HDMI connection.

This HDTV is rated display signals up to and including 720P resolution according to the spec linked below. If you are outputting a 1080i or 1080P signal from your BD Player, this could be the cause for the error message. Many HDTVs will accept signals higher than they can display - and simply down-rez to the highest resolution that they can display.

Connect the BD Player to a device that can display the signal. Enter the player's setting and change the output to 720P. Shut it off / disconnect cables as needed and reconnect it to the Emerson HDTV and see if it will display properly.

If it does, you're all done! if it doesn't - there's something else going on that isn't readily apparent to me. Good luck!

Try a hard reset to this TV. There are two types of reset to TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset; and the other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight; will be better. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Menu??

I'm sorry, but there is no access to the menu without a remote. If you want to try a universal remote, try the codes listed for Orion, Emerson, and Sansui.
