Question about Hitachi Televison & Video
This started about six weeks ago, at first I thought it may need to be reinstalled. I have done this a couple of times over the weeks and it stopped the problem. Since last night it occures every few minuets.
Fault with its main board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ . In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.

Testimonial: "Got in touch with warrenty people, Techs, Gave me the code for a sub menu to reset the factory default. At first tonight it played up but for the last few hours it has been as good as gold. If this is any help to anyone that gets the same problem, Press the menu button, when the icons appear type 4725. This should bring up the sub menu, be patience it many take time also you may have to try a few times. Scroll through to factory reset and press OK. After you will have to go through first install and network connection. They should print all the sub menu's in the instruction manual, it would save alot of time."

change out the LVDS cable (the cable that go from the control board to the main board) and it should resolve your problem. If your TV is still in warranty, call 1-877-MY-VIZIO and they will set up an in home repair for free.

I purchased the TV two years ago and called about the warranty because the TV was shutting off with no warning. Called the Company out and they said that it was the bulb. It was the worst TV in the world. WalMart sold me a warranty on this thing that was no good. It didn't help me at all....was a waste of money.

If you can get into the main menu go to load factory default and reboot, This will reload factory settings and this operation will erase all unwanted settings and load back to factory default. so you can load your own settings and take back control of your tv.
